| My engagement ring...I'm soo mad!!! At the end of september, I lost one of the diamonds on my engagement ring..I don't know how it fell out, but it did. We took it back to where he got it and they replaced the diamond for free, just had to pay for the placement or whatever it's called. So I FINALLY got my ring back just last week (my fiance said they told him it would only be 3-4weeks), and my boss and her mom came into work last night and she was telling her mom how my diamond fell out and I just got it back, well I go to show her which diamond and when I look at the ring..what do I find, the stone is missing!!! I'm going back to the place again today to get it fixed, luckily last time we purchased the lifetime warranty where all repairs etc are free, but still, this shouldn't be happening! My family has always gotten their jewelry from this place, I have other jewelry from this place, so it's not like my fiance just bought the ring from anywhere, but now I never want to go back there! I'm so afraid even if it gets fixed, it'll happen again, but it's my engagement ring and means so much to me, I don't want another ring either. I feel I'm entitled to something out of this, and I know you guys on here are really good and know what to do in scamming situations (I know this isn't a scam) and when people get ripped off, so what do you guys suggest? I'm thinking they should either upgrade all the diamonds on my ring, give us free wedding rings, or something on those lines. What would you guys do? What should I ask for them out of this? I don't feel it would even be right to exchange the ring for another one I feel so naked with out my ring..Ive been wearing a Tiffany's bracelet he got me a while back so I have something, but of course it's not the same. I attached a link to what the ring looks like, it's basically exactly like this but a larger carat and it's one of the diamonds on the top, not the middle one, but one on the side of it. I'm pretty sure it's the same stone that fell out, I can't tell because there's no front/back to the ring, but pretty sure it is..unless their all defaulted! http://www.helzberg.com/product/enga...by=bestSellers

| The link didn't work for me....but I am very sorry that you are having trouble. I hope it gets fixed and fixed right this time! I know what you mean about feeling "naked" without it on.....I was the same way when I have having work done to my ring several years ago.

| Thanks guys for saying it's a beautiful ring..I LOVE the ring, I think he did an awesome job picking it out..and he had no help either! I'm just torn because I'm so afraid it's going to happen again, I know they'll fix it, but what happens when it happens again..it's already happened twice, I'll be surprised if it DOESN'T happen again

| So I took it in and the girl says "ok we'll send it in again" and I ask if there's anything they can do because I just got it back, so she got the manager who was very nice. She's having their in-store repair guy fix it, usually he doesn't fix anything about .5 carat, but since I was already w/o it for so long she's going to have him fix it. I'll get it back by wednesday, and their going to look at the prongs and see what's wrong with them. Also, she said if it happens again I get a new one.

| I buy all my diamonds from Helzberg and they're fantastic. They were the first jewelry store that I walked into that didn't treat me like a kid (I was engaged at 20) or like we didn't have any money. So I'll always buy my stuff there. I did have one problem with a ring that kept breaking. They fixed it twice and it broke again, they let me exchange it for a different ring, no questions asked. I'm sure they'll figure it out for you, either by permanently fixing this one or getting you another one. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

| I love Helzberg too. My hubby finally got me my diamond wedding set on our 5th anniversary. We barely had a pot to pee in when we got married. It took us a long time to pick it out. I love how they walked us through the process step by step. Explaining the cuts and such. It was super cool to see the rings under the microscope. Can't miss anything with that. LoL I like that they also replace stones if they fall out with the same quality. I think you have to get the guarantee though. I was told that years down the road that the guarantee will still be good if my ring got passed down. We just have to make sure to get the inspections done. I also like the fact that I can trade in my rings for an upgrade. I know, supposed to be bad luck and all that. But I've lost 100lbs and they're unable to size my ring down far enough safely. I love my ring! I haven't been able to wear it for almost a year now. /sigh So for our 10th, my hubby and I are going to look for a replacement. I'm sorry you're having so much trouble with your ring. The setting is really beautiful! It sounds like Helzberg is trying to make things right. I hope you have your ring back soon!!

| Everyone has such good experiences w/ them...I'm jealous! LOL. The past two times we went (when we went to pick up my ring the first time after it lost the stone, and drop it off again) they were fine. And when my fiance got the ring they were good..but after he proposed and I got the ring sized, I got another ring sized and cleaned, and when he went to pick them up they tried telling him "Oh it's going to cost this because they also did this to the ring"..can't remember exactly what it was, but my fiance's response was "No, no one called me, and I didn't want that done so I'm not paying it". He didn't pay for whatever it was, but still really messed up on their part. I'm hoping now things will be better. My parents always bought their jewelry and my jewelry from their, so if I have any more problems I'll probably just bring my mom or dad, but since they've been so nice now, I'm hoping things will stay good.

| I love Helzbergs also. I get most if not all my jewerly from them, but recently I have had some problems with repairs also. I find it rediculous that you have to wait anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks for a simple repair. I have found a private jewerler near my home that I use for repairs now. |

| So sorry to hear about your troubles!!! I too think it is crazy to have to wait that long. I just lost a diamond out of one of my rings and it took about 1 week for the repairs to be made.
