After reporting a business to them and have them make me so aware that they worked for the business, I no longer report or pay any attention to their reviews. They are not a consumer agency. I wonder if you got better treatment because you were also a member?

No, just the opposite....I JOINED them in 2009 because of the effective way they worked to get their members to respond to my complaints and get them resolved! That was almost a year after I reported their members to them. And they did not close out my file of complaints until there was a satisfactory resolution from the offending members...one of which was a generator repair service that practically stole a brand new generator from me, claiming it could NOT be repaired, sold me a NEW generator for an additional $1200.00, and then quietly turned around and sold my other brand new generator and lied about it!

Glad you had success with them, I just think they are pretty worthless.

Her site is lovely...the ones that have been impacted my her should contact the BBB ...more complaints should let "buyer beware"...without the information here she looks legit.

Denise claims to be so honored to have been chosen for a feature in Boston Magazine and Animal Planet's Dogs 101. THIS IS BULL CRAP and I know first hand because both entities contacted me as well, and I strongly suspect being "chosen" was based solely on web site visibility. I was so unknown at the time that Boston Magazine couldn't have found me any other way than a random internet search. I didn't do the magazine spread because I didn't want to expose my puppies. Animal Planet received such an onslaught of complaints about "honoring" someone like that that I did agree to film some subsequent episodes with them. I did it for fun because I was training my first show champion at the time. There was no public credit, endorsement, or any other kind of "honor." The producer wanted to film puppies and showed no concern for where they came from.
I think her BBB membership is fairly new and likely an attempt at damage control. She has a contract now with health guarantee as well. I think she may not have had one before. Willingness to comply with the terms of a written guarantee should stand her in good stead with BBB, and it does show some improvement in her practices. I suppose one can't go to BBB and complain that "she charmed me into paying her $4000 for a puppy with no pedigree." I've come to the conclusion that she caters to the impulse buyer with more money than brains or who is too lazy to perform any due diligence. It's shame on them, really, that this goes on.

I came across this thread..& it didn't take me long to figure out who you were talking about. Before I bought Bella a few weeks ago, I had been looking around for several months in the New England area. I had several people warn me about this woman, including a very reputable breeder in up state MA. She knows where I'm from so she couldn't help but warn me about this woman.... This woman is a BIG time broker who sells puppies from puppy mills. She actually has several different websites, selling a few breeds of dogs. After I had already been warned about her, I had been responding to some adds online for puppies for sale(adds with no info) and this woman actually contacted me. Her email was so sappy and she tries to come off like these pups are her life, it makes me sick. I responded back to her that I'm in no way interested in doing business w/a puppy broker who sells puppies from puppy mills. That it takes a certain type of cold heartlessness to do what she does & people know all about her! I'm very bothered that this woman is able to keep the BBB logo on her page.. Because people who haven't heard about her, are being sucked into her BS & she's making money that obviously she doesn't deserve.. The only thing that she deserves is a 8x8 jail cell.. I don't mean to sound harsh but I'm a huge animal lover and I'm absolutely disturbed by people like this..

You bring up some important points. One is that these people often have multiple websites to reach as many different people as possible. If one website doesn't do it for you another might make you feel this is the perfect breeder. She doesn't divulge the fact that she isn't a breeder, only a broker, and “salesman” are often very personable, so people think they have purchased a dog from a wonderful breeder, that is until something goes wrong. This is one of the reasons, not to buy from a website, you have no idea where the puppies have come from or how the breeding dogs are treated, go see a breeder in person and develop a relationship with them, a good breeder will want to make sure that a Yorkie is the right fit for you.

Years ago, before I actually had my yorkie (Teddy) whom I got from a great show breeder, I went to see the yorkies at the home of Denise. At the time, I had not done enough reading about yorkies, and when I went, she seemed like such a nice person. Her grown yorkies were sitting in my lap, and she had puppies everywhere. She said that she puppies were all from her dogs, and that her dogs were champions etc etc. I did my google research after and found out that she was actually a puppy broker. Looking back on it, I realize she had far too many puppies available, was not asking enough questions about where the puppies were going, and was overly friendly.

I'm so grateful that I read about her before I made the mistake of purchasing a puppy from her. I hope people continue to get the word out.

Thanks for posting this, I've read about this happening, that people actually pretend to be the breeders and they end up being brokers. They get their dogs from mills and mislead unsuspecting customers into thinking that they are a great breeder. Yes, it's a huge red flag when a breeder has that many puppies for sell, and it may be the only red flag, so you were wise to check her out. I thoroughly agree with you that not asking enough questions is a red flag along with being overly friendly! I try to warn people against "overly friendly" breeders, but they think I'm nuts! This is a trait of salesmen, not breeders! I hope you post this in lots of different threads to help educate people. Your personal experience is invaluable for educating others.

Very suspicious, the golden doodle breeders say they have been raising them for 25 years, but hardly look 25. I wasn't positive the home was the same, both live in Sutton, Massachusetts and much of their copy uses the same words. My guess, it the golden doodle breeder is the daughter of the Yorkie breeder.

It sure looks like the same house to me only it is now painted a different color. Windows are the same, the door between buildings is the same, detailing around the front door is the same. That wagon thing out front is featured in photos on the other site. Good thing you noticed.
