My husband is taking her in to the vet today to check her incision...I'm just worried that she's messing with it and I want her to heal quickly and painlessly. So we'll see what the Dr. says this afternoon! I'll keep you updated!

Hope you all have a GREAT MONDAY!!!

Jessica & Chanel

Jessica have you tried putting a newborn onesie on her? That would keep her from chewing at her incision. And the big plus is, she'd look so cute in it :D

OOhoohooh! That's much closer than Cinci for me. Is this a different meetup or the same one just moved to Fairfield??

GoofyBritt: I'm soo glad to hear you will be at the meet-up!! This is a different meet-up than the one in Cincinnati. The park it will be held in is very quite and our shelter I reserved is set away from the others a little bit, it is going to be soo much fun, and i'm happy so many people are coming....I'm getting together a list right now of everyone that is coming.

Everyone: I need to know who all still needs my address, so I can send it to you in a PM. If you send me a message that would be the easiest way so that way I can just reply. and if you are coming to the meet-up please make sure you RSVP answering all the questions on the OIK meet-up thread I posted. It will help me keep track of everyone better. I cant wait to meet everyone!!

That is so funny that you said that!!! Zach went and bought a pack of them this morning!!! :) And she looks ADORABLE!!!!

Well...the vet said that her incision looks "fantastic". No swelling or anything. He even thought she looked awfully cute in her onesie! :D Zach agreed with him! SO looks like...of course...I was worrying about nothing.

I just wanted to let you all know that Jeter LOVES having Axl home. They play so cute together! I was worried that Jeter would be mad that we brought the puppy home but He liked him at first sight. I have a bunch of picture's of them playing together that i will have to share once I down load them:rolleyes:

His vet visit went great. He was 8 weeks old at the appointment and he is 2 pounds. He got his shots and did not yelp at all! ( Jeter is 10 months old tomorrow, and he is 2 pounds 8 ounces) He is very friendly but he is a nipper, he acts like he is going to kiss you up but then he gets your lip:eek: I offer him a dental bone or chew toy when he does that.I am just so so happy to have him home:D I have 2 weeks till Yumi Yasha comes home and I just know they will all get along fine!

I am hoping that hubby will be there, too. We may be staying at the campground.... but not sure, yet.

Sorry it has taken me a while to post pictures of Axl and Jeter playing together. I got a bit pre occupied and then I had trouble with my Camera card, but my 14 1/2 year old son Mason fixed it for me and I was able to download them. As you can see by the photos Axl is really not much smaller than Jeter, about only 8 to 9 ounce difference on them and in a few weeks Axl is sure to out weigh Jeter for sure! He is a big healthy boy;) He should be 5 pounds full grown.

Thanks! I am just so happy they are getting along so well. I had a few interesting things happen over the weekend.

I broke my hand Friday night...My window came crashing down on it when I was putting the fan in it,its a really old heavy window too! My poor mom was on the phone with me when it happened too. I told the ER doctor I m surprised she did not have to come in for a blown eardrum cause boy did I Scream when it happened! So for 3 to 6 weeks I have my right hand in a splint, it's driving me insane having to ask every one to do things for me. Also typing with one hand is so slow!

Saturday we went and got Yumi Yasha:D She is a doll and Oh my is she prissy! Look at my avatar, she is the tiny one, Axl is the fluffy one, and Jeter is the one with his hair up..arnt they cute?? Jeter and Axl just love her! My kids like her too but can't belive how much smaller she is to Axl..They are just one day apart in age but Axl is twice her size! She is supposed to be 5 pounds full grown just like Axl. The drive down to get her was fun, we took our two youngest boy's this time.We ate breakfast at IHOP and we still made it to the breeders by 10:30. we made it back home at 4pm, we made a lot of stops on the way home so it took longer than we thought, but we had fun! Having all three has been great so far and I am so so happy right now:p

We then had a Yorkie get together at my moms on Sunday..all 6 Yorkies playing outside, I got a lot of cute pictures, thanks to my son who helped since I have the broken hand. I will post some pictures latter when I have my oldest boy around to help me out.

I am trying to see if my husband can put in a vacation day for the meet up so I might be coming..I will know by the end of this week what is going on. I hope you all had a nice weekend and I hope that no one else broke a bone or substained any injuries like I did;)

ps..sorry for spelling problems but it is hard doing this with just my left hand and under pain meds:(

winstonw 08-04-2008 10:47 AM

omg...I am soo sorry about your broken hand:eek::thumbdown!!! What a thing to happen right now while all the fun is going on getting your new pups!!! Well I am glad they are all doing so well together, cause with a broken hand, it makes it hard to do things !! Yeah and welcome to YumiYashi....I cant believe they are all home now...how exciting....and how great they are doing so well together!! You take care of yourself!! Hope it heals quickly!!

Lisa and Pic 08-04-2008 01:11 PM

Brandy - I'm so sorry about your hand. I did something to my hand about 5 years ago and it drove me crazy trying to do little things like tie bows and brush my teeth. Hope it heals quickly.

Such great news about Yumi Yasha. Yes, she is a doll. :D Congrats!

We had a nice Monday, here. Piccolo went to the groomer today and she smells so lovely! She has been busy rubbing her head on the grass and carpet, trying to get the bow out. Lol.

adorame 08-04-2008 03:39 PM

Axl and Yumi Yasha are one day apart with birthday's...I had her birthday wrong but now I have her papers and all that stuff and it has her b day down as May 30..Axl's is May 29.

Being at my moms with all six running around was funny! Jeter love's my mom's girl Sindee Lu, they like to play together and are so cute acting:) Axl and Jezebel had fun playing, they are the same size, Jezzee is 3 weeks older than Axl and she is as playful as Axl is, my mom fell in love with Axl and was going to keep him;) I told her those two should get together more often because she wore him out good!

MyPeanutAbbyGra 08-04-2008 04:47 PM

Awww, how sweet! 6 little Yorkies! HEAVEN! :D

tatertot15 08-06-2008 11:26 AM

So I wanted to let you all know that after work today me DH and Bandit are all going to take a look at some 11 week old Beagle's, We might be coming home with one of them. I'm not sure on how they will act around each other.....I hope they can get along. I really want a playmate for Bandit for when we are at work. Sometimes when we leave Bandit, we come back and its like he is traumatized. But give him 5 minutes and he's ok again. I dont get it. I think it will be good for him to have a friend. What do you all think??

Depending on how SMALL Bandit is..... and how big the beagle is. Sometimes puppies like to "rough house" and if they are a bigger breed it could hurt the little Yorkie unintentionally.

tatertot15 08-06-2008 04:49 PM

Well we didnt end up getting the beagle. I told the lady I would be there at 7:30 and I was actually early and when I got there sombody was picking up the last puppy. I was so furious!! So I guess we are still looking for a friend for Bandit.

Lisa and Pic 08-07-2008 08:24 AM

Brandy - Your pictures are adorable! I love the swing picture with all six.

Ashley - We are sorry you did not get a puppy. Good luck on your search. Maybe another Yorkie?....

Question for everyone....Do you all walk your furbabies everyday on a leash? If so, how far do you walk? The reason I am asking is Poquito and Piccolo have far different energy levels, so they go on different walks. Poquito goes 2 and 1/2 miles, with no problems. Piccolo goes about 1/2 mile, at a different time. I'm just wondering what is comfortable for your furbabies... Thanks!

Hope everyone has a great day!

winstonw 08-07-2008 12:24 PM

Hi Lisa and Pic!! WE have the same problem here with energy levels and heat acclamation tehe with Packer.....My poor little guy has that smashed in nose, and he cant go far......my mil usually ends up feeling sorry for him and carrying him part of the way;)! Now Pokey and Winston are a different class althogether. I used to jog 3.2 miles everyday with Pokey and he would be pulling me...he is really quick and athletic build. Packer is more stocky and shorter legs. I really feel like I was still jogging, Winston could do it the whole way cause whenever we take longer walks, him and Pokey are up ahead of us all;)!! It is funny isnt it? I think each one comes with their own little energy level and limits!! I sometimes put Packer on the treadmill with hot weather cause he just cant take the heat....needs to be ac...for heat acclamation....little cutie that he is;):D!!

Lisa and Pic 08-08-2008 07:37 AM

Lisa - Thanks for your answer about walking. (Or jogging) It sounds like your furbabies have different energy levels, also. I try to walk Poquito, then Piccolo early in the morning, before it gets hot, but Piccolo just cannot make it very far. She walks down the driveway and she starts panting... If she thinks it is too far, she will plop in the grass. Then I carry her. Poor baby.

Does anyone else walk their furbabies on a leash? Would love to know....

Shelby&Seymour 08-08-2008 01:37 PM

We are not "daily" walkers right now........ it has been so terribly hot. Shelby and Seymour DO get outside and play on the patio in the backyard everyday. When we do walk, it is about the equivelent of a city block.
When we camp, we talk very LONG hikes and so we take the stroller with us and they get to ride when they get tired.
