That yorkie also looks very unhappy!!!! Thanks for putting them side by side, it helps a lot. They look so much alike, the hair coloring is so close to the same.

I just spoke to Zeke's Mom (Maureen). I told her about the listing. I think you are right Donna Jean, about this listing being for a stolen dog. The dog was suddenly no longer "available" and had been "given away". Here is another comparison, with a bigger picture of the listed dog, next to Zeke. Look at the coloring around the nose of both animals - see that dark blond patch on the left side (our left, looking at pic); then see how the color on both fades out at the exact same place, to the lighter "blond"? Then look at the shape of the ears, the shape of the nose. They are the same. Also, look at the distance from bottom of the nose to upper lip, then the shape of the jaw below..... all the same.

Laurenr, I called the lady back in Chula Vista, and i don't think it was a stolen dog at all and i apologize for jumping to conclusions, it did look fishy, however after engaging in a long conversation with this lady, She had the little boy from birth, and she used him in her breeding program, however he was only 3 lbs. and threw nothing but really tiny puppies that never lived, so she sold him to a pet home where he is to be neutered, she sold him last weekend. At least we can close that chapter. Hopefully something else will come up. This lady was very nice, and from talking to her, i would not think that that dog that was advertised on Puppy Find was ZEKE.

Will stay on top of the prayers, it is so sad we are no closer to finding Zeke, i just pray something will happen that will open the door to where Zeke is, and that he will be found safe, somewhere where the person is trying to find Zeke's owner as well as we are trying to find him.

I know I feel so let down. I really do think they looked so much alike! Did you also talk to the lady? If so what did she tell you?

i emailed her asking about him and then she simply replied "he's gone"
and nothng else so i emailed back and asked well did he go to a good home, do you have any more etc that i was distrought on losing my yorkie and i was lookng to find another one and that i had cash asap

That could be, i am so gullable, but if the dog is gone it is gone, the only way to know for sure would be to have the police stop at her home and check it. With a cell phone i don't think they can get the exact address. If she was on to us, she probably got rid of the dog quick, i don't know what to think anymore or know what to do next. Any ideas? I still think a PI would be helpful, God knows their is plenty of information to start with.

The phone # is 619 240 1044, at least we can check to see if she tells the same story to everyone. They say if you lie, you have to really have a good memory, as you have to tell over 100 lies to cover up one lie!

Ok I just called and Tabitha picked up. I asked about him and she said which one? That there are 2 males she listed for sale? I explained the ad and she said he already found a home. I said ok thank you, bye and hung up. So I'm guessing since she has more than 2 for sale than maybe she is a breeder..that's all the info i have :(

It looks soooooooooooo much like him. Is their any way Maureen could contact the police and have him stop by, to see if she has a State Lic to breed dogs, and than demand to see where the dog on puppy find was and if who he was sold to. If she refuses that information, we have the right dog! Also she said she had a litter of young puppies, he could also check that out. That dog even had the hair broken off in the same spot as Zeke at the top of the nose.

I spoke with her also and was convinced when I hung up that it was not Zeke either... It was a good shot and he did look so much like Zeke. The search continues.

I was hoping that this thread was ended on a good note so i am sad about that but have to give kudos to the Yorkietalk Detectives!!! You guys are awesome!!! The ideas are so great!!! I do believe also that all this info on the missing dogs should go to the police so they can really get cracking on this or go to the newspaper for help...tell them police don't seem interested and there are too many yorkies missing from the same area!! That might jump start something!!! I will continue to pray for Zekes safe return and for the Yorkie Talk Detectives!!!:thumbup: :bravo:

I was out running errands and checked back now. I keep looking at those pictures of the two dogs and the hair still rises at the back of my neck when I see the similarities. There are just so many. When I think of all the Yorkies my family has owned in the past 20 years, I cannot think of 2 faces that were that much alike, with the same coloring, shape etc. I was soooooo hoping that we were on the right track...:sad:
But you must NOT give up hope, especially after speaking to that one vet in Modesto who told me they are aware of this "Ring" that are going around stealing Yorkies in that area.
Soooooooo frustrating for Zeke's poor family. I remember only to well that cold, hard stone in the center of my chest when I was looking for my lost baby.

Lauren and Donna Jean...You guys rock!!! They do look so much alike...I still feel this may be a lead...can someone call the lady again, interested in the other dog she had for sale, just to check her out. The police and media need to have this brought to their attention...somebody is stealing our babies and must be stopped.
I'm in for helping monetarily...either to hire an investigator or towards the reward.
I would think...somebody would squeal for the right amount of money...for Zeke sake, I want to help you guys. What can I do, anything?

Hey Kathy! Yep, can you believe how much these two little guys resemble each other!! I just hope that the Breeder Zeke's Mommy spoke to is truly on the "up and up". I just thought that a webiste like Puppyfind would be the perfect place for a "quickie" sale, even though there are many legitimate listings there.

I hope and pray this all has a happy ending...and that everybody gets their babies back. Wow...as I was reading through this thread, tonight after work...my heart started beating so fast...I was certain that it was Zeke, and if it wasn't, I still think someone should follow up on this lead...it may take you to the place all these dogs are kept. Maybe, just check to be sure.

Have you contacted your local media? (sorry if you did already and I missed it in the postings). Most of the time they won't do a story about one dog missing (it could have run away), but if one of the vets is talking about a 'yorkie theft ring' (and they can show pictures on his wall of the missing yorkies), this could be your way in... The more people are affected, the better your chances are of getting a story in the paper or on tv.

I must say my dear investigator, you are so right, those dogs looked like twins, with the exception the one in the add was so sad. I thought you had found ZEKE, even the hair on the nose that was broken, and the sharp scissors cuts on the right side where his bangs were, matched! I am so disappointed, i could cry!, i really thought you had found ZEKE. Even Maureen thought it might be him. Did you ever find your lost baby. I cannot tell you how many stories i hear from my show friends where their yorkies were stolen. One right out of the arms of an older woman, and they took off with her champion, by the time she got to her car, they were no where to be found, and they had called to see if they could stop by to look at her puppies for sale. I refuse to be alone when someone comes to see my puppies, and i make sure they are well screened before coming to my house. After all these scares, I think i will meet them in town, with my puppies and their parents locked in the big wire cage i have in the back of my Subaru. In a very, very public. You really can not just relax with your yorkie outside any more, you need to have them on a leash, that is hooked to your waist! I just wish the police would get more involved, or the newspapers, or radio stations in the area to warn people, so they don't lose their yorkies. You would have to think these people were just waiting for an opportunity to grab Zeke, i can't think it just happened by chance. There were on a mission, otherwise they would have been glad to be more than helpful, any one would try to help someone find their lost little yorkie. The prayers will continue until Zeke is found safe and in the arms of Maureen. We just have to help find a way to get that little boy back. Maureen, how old is ZEKE, and what does he weigh? I could not find it in the past posts. Maybe the posters should include Chula Vista, CA, with all the information about Zeke, picture, when lost, age weight, and where he disapered from, Thanks! I am sure good will come from your loss of ZEKE, as everyone will have an awareness of what is going on and not let their yorkies out of their site, even in their own back yard. Maureen you just have to get your little boy back, I am now asking all yt members to say the same prayer,

" Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus, Please let Zeke be returned to his home, no questions asked, please Dear Lord give us a miracle and return Zeke to Maureen and her family or let her find him safe and sound and well taken care of, surround him Father with your love and protection and please Dear Father see that this little ZeKe is returned to his loving family and the only family he knows and so loves, he is so young, and well loved by all family members so please, please Father see that he is returned to his family, in the name of Jesus we thank you AMEN"

Maybe if we all say this prayer for the safe return of ZEKE at the same time, say 10:00 P.m. Mountain Standard Time, the Lord will give us a miracle, and return ZEKE safely to his family, I KNOW THE STRENGTH OF PRAYER, ESPECIALLY WHEN MORE THAN ONE PRAY FOR THE SAME THING.
