Tink, just saw your post - you could never sound like a jerk.:) I think if Maureen went to check that mail box for a name, the likelihood of someone even seeing her is very remote. I don't think anyone there would even bother reporting it if they saw her, and she could always use an excuse, like placing a Zeke flyer in there.

Talking about flyers - Maureen if you handed one to them - did you make sure it was in Spanish?

as much as i HATE to do this......... i'm going to bed... my eyes are going down fast. ive been fighting to stay awake. but i will get back on the minute i wake up. hope theres more good news tomorrow!

I got it!!!!!!!You should have a county tax collector.You can call them,give them the address and they will give you the info on who Ownes the property.If it is rented,make up something that the renters are doing wrong.Like he may not want pets in his rental.If it is owned by the people who live there,then you will have their name the legal way.Also I am sure the tax office would want to know if they have a pet without a license.

I think Maureen needs to take flyers to EVERY HOUSE on that street! Maybe some neighbors have seen this "Tahoe" coming or going at this house. Kids talk.. Maybe the boy told a neighbor friend that "grandma" just got a new puppy. Please, Please go and hand out lots of flyers in the area of that house!:animal-pa

Okay - here is a screenshot of the Amsterdam Lane address. I have also inlcluded a "peg mark" showing its proximity to the Walmart location (I had it saved already on Google Earth)Attachment 135088

I really feel like you are very close to finding Zeke! I'm setting on the edge of my seat waiting for more news. Did u say he told u the intersection of the grandmas house? I swear I'd be seating outside that house with binoculars(that might be illegal haha but I wouldn't care) Thinking positive and praying for Zeke to be reunited with his mommy.

This is a great idea. I work for a real estate company in Louisiana and check property taxes every day. In my area you can go to a government website and type in the address and pull up the tax information, including the owner's name by year. I will search online and see if I can find anything similar to this in Modesto.

Thanks Lauren...for the map, that looks sooooooo close to home, is it? Maureen I beg of you call the authorities...be it city, county or state. This is such a sensitive matter, if we go noseying around too much, they will become suspicious and Zeke will be gone...Let them do the investigating, that is what they do...so the one officer didn't help...this would give him a chance to redeem himself...give them that chance for Zeke's sake.
Also could we see on the map where this intersection is that Grandma is suppose to live...was it Dale and Snyder?

I copied and pasted the map and sent it to my yorkie group on yahoo.
There are many women there from CA.
I was hoping when I returned from my cig run, Zeke would be home.
