I would have already fallen apart if it wasn't for you amazing women! I came to this site hoping to find one or two people to keep an eye out for my precious boy, what I have received is something of a working miracle. I cannot describe the feelings I have for everyone of you. Each of you have invested time into this community and you have made strong bonds with each other... I see it in the posts. I am new here and you have each treated me like an old friend. I would like to share a little about myself and why my bond to my dear Zeke is so strong. For the past fourteen years I have been wife and mother. I lost my identity along the way which I know happens to a lot of moms. I have wanted a Yorkshire Terrier all my life. I always said when I grew up I would get one. Well, I gave birth to my first child in 1993. This was not the time for a brand new puppy, so I waited. As Christopher got older my dream of getting my Yorkie was nearing. He was finally old enough to be trusted around such a small dog so I began searching for a breeder in our area. Before I could find a breeder I was surprised by the news that I was three months pregnant. So I thought great another seven years! So again I waited. This time however was a little different. My baby Cayden was three years old. In November of 2005 I almost died from internal bleeding due to a disease I did not know I had. I had to have several transfusions and was in the hospital for a couple weeks. I finally was released but it was short lived... a week latter I was back in the hospital with more bleeding. In just four months I had been hospitalized so many times the nurses knew me by name. I have Crohnes Disease and it is a chronic, incurable disease but with medication and/or surgery partial control is possible. For some reason the doctors could not get my bleeding to stop and I was on a lot of medication. In March I decided I was not going to wait any longer for my Yorkie. I know at the time this was very selfish of me because I was only thinking of myself. I was afraid I may die and I did not want to leave without ever having my Yorkie. I wanted a little girl so bad because I have two sons and never had a daughter and I wanted my girl. I found an add in the paper that day and drove out to see them... she had two boys no girls. For some reason when I picked up Zeke I could not put him down. Even though I knew I did not want a boy something drew me to him. I left there with him. I had not told my husband of my intentions. I think the saying goes... better to ask for forgiveness then for permission... I was taking that route. I had been reading my Bible and happened to be in the book of Ezekiel, to make it more dog friendly I shortened it to Zeke. After I got him I went into the hospital once more ( which my husband snuck him in for me :) ) I have never been back I have been in remission since April of 2006. He is my angel, he always made everyday wonderful. I woke up every morning to licky faces as I call them and we went about our business together everyday. I now have a huge hole in my heart and I do not feel like the same person I was. I miss him so much my body aches. I know this was long and you guys are probably thinking, and why did we need to know all this, but I could not think of any other way to express the immensity in which I am so humbly grateful for everything you guys are doing for Zeke and I. |
Reading your story truely touched me. I was crying at the end. I too, have been reading up on the posts and have been praying for you and your little Zeke. These dogs arent just pets, they are our children! Little Zeke is your angel, he healed you! He worked a miracle. I hope and pray that your little angel will once again work a miracle and somehow find his way back to his mommy! You have a HUGE support group here and im sure all of us will continue to pray until your little zeke is brought back home. Prayer is an amazing thing! |
Prayers in abundance and loads of positive vibes continue for Maureen and Zeke! PLEASE LET ZEKE :aimeeyork FIND HIS WAY BACK TO HIS MAMA! |

Maureen, I have been reading your story and hoping each day I read your posts that Zeke has been returned to you. I honestly think you should take that last post describing why you have such a stong bond with Zeke and send it to the local newspaper with your story on losing Zeke. People will read this and realize that you didnt just lose any dog and why Zeke is special to you. People will go beyond what they would normally do to help look for Zeke and try to get him returned to you as soon as possible. Just an idea and hope it works. |
:( :( :( After all you've been thru and now this - I agree with CO momma - a news story may be just the thing to find who has him - no one could not be touched by your story... I'm so sorry. I check everyday to see if you found him and will keep thinking positive thoughts for you. He sounds like a tiny little Blessing and I hope someone has him and is just waiting for his real mom to find him |
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May Zeke come home safe to you and your family. |

920 Cowan Drive, Carbondale Days Inn 970 063 9111 970 963 8880 Intersection of HWY 82 & HWY 133 Glenwood Springs, Co. Out of all of them I like the Quality Inn in West Glenwood, it is quiet and the Roaring Fork River is behind it. Nice Rooms. I think a lot of people on this forum would donate to help hire a PI, the police would be free, but they don't seem to want to do anything! I still think that dog on puppy find could be KEKE, if we could call that woman again and ask to see her puppies so someone could pick one, than we would have an address, and the police could ask if she is Lic. to raise dogs, and ask for the records of the dogs sold in the last 2 weeks. Than we could get the address of the two male adults that were placed, and Maureene could drive over with the policeman to see if it is her dog. What is there to lose, and it could be her dog. If that doesn't pan out, at least we don't have to go down that ave. anymore and would know for sure. Any way when you get to Glenwood give me a call I would love to meet you and your boyfriend, and your little baby! PM me and I will give you my phone # |
I will PM u closer to when we decide to go!!! :) thanks a lot for your help. Armani should be happy to go. |
I am so sorry that you and your family are going through this. :( I will thinking of you and wishing you the best! Tammy |

Have the PI or police follow them home, and do a search of their homes and put pressure on them as to who they saw with ZEKE. In the meantime, keep checking back with the Vets, Radio Stations, and see that the flyers are all still posted, I would think the people who stole ZEKE are the ones tearing them down. I also think the idea of going to shopping malls and putting them on the windsheilds of cars there. Of course Maureene can not do all of this by herself, someone who lives close to her might want to go with her and help. Other than praying, and praying, i can't think of anything else, can anyone come up with anything else we could do to help. Any way when you get to Glenwood give me a call I would love to meet you and your boyfriend, and your little baby! PM me and I will give you my phone #. |

Maureen, after reading your story, my heart breaks even more for you. It's like Zeke is your healing angel and the void you must be feeling these past days without him, is unimaginable. I know only to well the ravages of Crohnes Disease - my Father had it, as do 2 of my cousins. You must take care of yourself now hon, because as I am sure you are aware, stress is a major factor in managing your disease. I feel so helpless and so frustrated. Yesterday, when I found that picture of the little guy that looked so much like Zeke, I was so excited..... that maybe my hand had been somehow guided there to find him. Now I feel like I got your hopes up, only for him to remain missing. When I spoke to you on the phone about my discovery, I could FEEL your anxiety, your initial frustration when your computer would not work.... and I felt like I wanted to reach through my screen and just hug you. We don't know each other Maureen, and until a few days ago, I was unaware of what you are going through, and now every morning, the first thing I do is check for news on Zeke. I do the same thing after the 11:00PM news, before I go to bed. I want so badly for you to be reunited with him; please let me know if there is ANYTHING that I can do for you. Perhaps the idea that CO Momma has, about sending a copy of your post to your local news station would help. Surely the person who took your baby has an ounce of compassion somewhere inside of them, and reading your heartbreaking story would prompt them to bring him back to your arms. Also, another important factor: if your story and Zeke's picture is out there, even if Zeke has been "sold", his new "owner" would very probably return him upon seeing it. I send you huge hugs for the day, Lauren:ghug: P.S. Please know that all of us here will continue to search for Zeke. None of us will give up until you think it is time. Do NOT forget that dogs who have been missing for weeks and weeks, HAVE been reunited with their families. |
I would also post that story on all of the bullitins that you are posting all over town with Zekes picture on it. There are still some good people in the world and hopefully one will read your story and let you know where Zeke is or if they have seen him. The people that took him cant keep him hid forever. |

My web site is www.Sunriseyorkies.com or DJ's Heavenly Yorkies of Sunrise, you have to use Google or Yahoo as a search engine, I use a black background with yellow daisey's, you can see the puppies, they were only 6 to 8 weeks old. They look so different now, the boys that were 1200.00 each are gone, and Paisley left last weekend. The smallest will be about 3 1/2 lbs. his name is Nikki, and all the rest will be 4 to 6 lbs. and one of my champions son, will be about 7 lbs. You should check them out and let me know what you think, I have a lot of information on my web site, on the puppy page, and I also show pictures of all my clients who have bought puppies, i sell them in pairs most of the time, so they always have a play buddy. The single ones, already had a yorkie that needed a buddy! It's so hard to part with my puppies, but so far I have really found great homes and hear about them all the time, and that helps. |
Ebay auction? Maybe you should do an auction on Ebay for a yorkie item. You could post a pic of your missing baby in the auction and get the word out to yorkie lovers out of your area. The "proceeds" of the auction could help you place ads or make fkiers or hire a private eye. The important thing is to get your missing poster in the ad.Your story breaks my heart. Sending you good wishes for a safe return! |
