Mango is snoozing on her favorite place, Mommy's lap, also waiting for news of Zeke. This whole story is just breaking my heart. It's the not knowing that must be so torturous for Zeke's family.:(:(:( |

P.s. I have really come to believe that the Yorkie Breed is Gods special gift to all of us who have one!!! These animals are phenomanal as their owners because all of you have hearts of Gold and are not afraid to help others in what ever way you can and that is truly a Blessing!!! I am glad to be a part of this community |
WOW!... I just sat here & read the whole thread..poor Zeke...He must be so frightened....I just pray Maureen is gone so long because she's on the right track working on getting her baby back....Please let tomorrow bring good news... |
I talked to Proud mommy tonight and I think she has not gotten on because the manager at walmart gave her the run a round. He said he couldn't just go though all the tapes and if he and the GM do and they see a lady they will call the police. She called the Tracey police and they were very rude. she is really having a hard time. Everyone Please keep her and Zeke in your Prayers. They need it really bad right now. I am sure she has more to add to this. I may have forgotten some of it. |

here is my mail i sent' I just love your little boy. I have been wanting a yorkie companion for so long. I am so sorry you have to rehome him. Can you tell me more about him? What is his name. Are his ears floppy? That is a cute picture, Do you have any more? I would love to see him . Let me know :) |
1 Attachment(s) I cannot imagine what Maureen is going through right now after getting the run-around from Walmart. It's like she is hitting a brick wall in every direction. So much for WalMart's "Family" image..... I suppose that's only when there's money involved, that "family" are important to them. Argh! I am just so angry for her. The picture Adahi posted - I made a copy of them side by side so we can compare: Zeke is the dog on top, with the blue bow. There are similarities in the face, however, Zeke's body hair is much darker - see his back? It's dark silver, whereas the one below appears all blond. I went through the same process yesterday when I found that male on puppyfind. He too looked a lot like little Zeke. I have done the same thing for hours, scouring these websites, looking for a little guy that resembles Zeke; I swear by now, I would recognize him anywhere. Maureen Hon, we all here are pulling for you; we are all looking for Zeke. Something WILL turn up. With so much love for you tonight, Lauren:hearts-xx |
I have read through most of these posts but have skipped a few so im not sure if anyone has suggested this but, Maybe if we made a way for the person that took Zeke to return him without having to see anyone face to face and somewhere where they would be assured they wouldnt get in trouble. They might be more likely to return him. Im sure that they have seen posters around and maybe they feel it has gone so far now that if they return him now they will be in big trouble. I know we want to see the person or people who took zeke punished for their actions but before that we want zeke home with his momma safe and sound! Its just a thought. Also, that really sucks that the people at walmart were not more helpful. And like a few other people said, most people that go to walmart go often (at least once a week) and if this lady was out there trying to sell a yorkie (maybe zeke) im sure alot of people saw her. So maybe if we had some people that live in the area stand out infront of walmart and hand out flyers and ask questions to each person personally as they walk in we could get some answers. Maybe even putting flyers on car windows at walmart. And of course, like many people have said, put posters up at walmart. We will continue to pray for you and your little zeke's safe return! |
I am sorry it took so long to get back on. After I wrote everything down that happened today my computer shut down and didn't send it. Now its up again so give me a minute to rewrite everything. |

I sure wish I lived closer, so that I could do something, anything more active than this. Anyhow, here is another "comparison" shot, this time with all three pictures together, just in case. Only Maureen could tell for sure. There are definite similarities in the face. We should all keep looking for postings like this. One of them might be Zeke. Edit:The top 2 pics are Zeke, bottom left is listed Yorkie that Adahi found. |
This situation is making me so mad. Why won't the police help her? Why won't the manager at walmart help her? I think I'd be contacting some higherups in the corporate office in walmart and trying to get them to convince your local manager to help more. I also just don't understand why the police won't do anything if you have a witness that saw your dog with those ladies and you have their business card. I wouldn't just let the police brush me off...I'd stay on them to do something about the theft...they wouldn't just make me go away. Is Walmart goign to contact you if they see someone selling ayorkie out front again? Was this woman seen over the weekend? That seems to be when most people try to sell dogs at the walmart where I live...maybe you can spend this saturday on the lookout at your walmart. I want you to find him so bad!!! |

Today I received a phone call from a man that said he believed he saw a woman at Walmart on Sunday trying to sell Zeke. I asked him why he was sure and he told me he was there with his kids and they spent a while petting and holding the dog. He told me she was a blonde woman and she was trying to sell him for $400.00. Today while he was searching the paper for job prospects he came across Zekes add. He claims it is the same exact dog. I immediately called the case officer and left a message, once again he did not answer. I called my husband and he called the Walmart manager, Marcus. He initially told him he would review the tape from Sunday to see if there was a picture of the woman with "the dog." I jumped in my car and headed for Tracy. My first stops in Tracy were the two addresses I have been able to obtain thus far. The first house my son knocked on the door to see if he could hear a dog bark... but nothing. The second a man was outside gardening. I drove around the neighborhood with a silent dog whistle and yelling his name. Nothing. I headed for Walmart still optimistic because this man was willing to help...I thought maybe my luck was changing. I arrived there and had to wait more that thirty minutes for Marcus, the manager, to come out and meet with me. His words were definitely not what I wanted to hear. He told me the stores procedures for solicitors is to ask them to leave, if they refuse then they call the police and file a report against them. So I was told that I needed to wait until he could speak with the other managers on duty that day to see if any reports were filed against any solicitors. If not than he could not help me. I asked about the security tape he told my husband he would look at and his response was "do you know how long that would take?" He told me that the police could request them if they wanted to but that he could do no more for me. So once again stuck. |

Tell him he'll be hearing from your attorney... big butthead that's just absurd. Maybe have someone stake out the Walmart in case they come back. If they do, call 911. Or have someone answer the ad and then show up with the police. Just some thoughts. Personally I think it's time to call in the Yorkie Mafia and pop knot someone. |
I am a lawyer. I work with law enforcement all the time. I live in Fresno. If you would like, I could call from my office or send a letter to the Walmart people asking them to review the tape or provide a copy. I can't compel them to do so, but usually people get a bit more helpful when they think there is a lawyer involved. |

here is the reply I got back from the CL listing He is a 1.5 years old pure breed toy size yorkie, around 5 pounds, with all up-to-date shots, fixed, house-trained. He has no problem with cats, dogs and kids. Very active and cute, will let you cuddle with him. His coat color is blue and gold, and is starting to turn more to gold color. Nice pointy ears, doesn't bark often. I need to relocate him by the end of the month as the new apt i moved to doesnt allow pets. Im asking for $500 obo. *HE IS NOT FOR BREEDING AS HE IS NEUTERED* I located in Fremont if you wanna meet him :) and no his ears are pointy! the picture was taken when he was lying down, maybe thats why it makes them look like they are floppy. It is possable it is him what do I do now I am in NE way to far.. I need some one there to go see with proud mommy. the seller never said his name? He does have ears up. Also did answer the picture ?? Is fremont way away from Prouud mommy? |

I have been keeping up with the posts and praying that Zeke is found and returned to his Mommy. Proud Mommy, I can't imagine what you are going through. It hurts me to just hear this and I wish I could do something. Two nights ago, on the news, there was a story about a male Yorkie puppy who was stolen from his owners in New Castle, Delaware. His owners had just opened the back of their van to get him out of his crate and stepped to the front of their van when someone opened the crate and grabbed the puppy and ran! I've been watching Kalina like a hawk and when a stranger asks if they can "hold her" I say No when normally I would say Yes. I hope Zeke is found and returned soon! |
