Why not put up a "lost" ad on Craigslist in Modesto or the metropolitan area surrounding it? Write it so that it will grab attention right away. Describe yourself (the pet owner) as heartbroken over the loss and then describe the women that you suspect of having taken Zeke. Make sure you give a good description of all parties and mention that the women would have suddenly acquired this dog (give a description of Zeke) on the date that he disappeared. If anyone knows of these people who fit the description having just acquired a Yorkie of Zeke's description, they may have enough integrity to contact you and give you the location of the women. Appeal to people's sympathetic side. Tell your story like a tear-jerker (which it is). The more you appeal to people's hearts the more successful you are likely to be. P.S. Put the ad up not just in the "lost and found" section, but in all the categories. You'll get the word out to a lot more people that way. |

1 Attachment(s) I have another idea based on feedback from you all today about media, TV stations, etc. The consensus is that the local Modesto station is too small. ABC Television has its affiliate in Sacromento, that does feed the Modesto area. Searching around their sight, I discovered a page where viewers are allowed to upload their own video. It is located here: http://www.news10.net/weather/weather-vcu.aspx I took a screenshot so that you could all see what I mean. If we could upload a video about Maureen's situation with Zeke, making it as appealing as possible in a 30 second clip, there would be a chance of getting public attention. |

OH wow...all I can say it that you people are jus too amazing.when my Greenlee was missing last year it was all of you that helped me though the rough spots and I have spent the last hour reading this thread..just checked out the Zeke page ( and am crying like a baby thank you) and I want to do something, anything to help. Zeke must be found and I have this gut feeling that he will be found too. |
I agree the media is where it's at...put it on the news, make it sound pitiful, heartbreaking (which of course it is). I still think we should also contact the governing body of Tracy...explain to them what has happened and that we are not getting any cooperation, from law enforcement or Walmart, I mentioned the chamber of commerce too. These people live and work there to promote their city...this story will get their attention. |
