I dunno hunny....it sounds strange to me....Im not saying that you leaving him with your mom was a bad thing but I think that you would have a better chance of getting him back to his normal self if he were at home with you (just a suggestion, not a critisism at all....good luck...and keep us posted.

i dont know i would make sure he stays away from her its all very weird is he neutered mabe she bred him to her female ?? just ideas

Now I did ask her if she had any small dogs and she said that no, her husband would not allow her to have a house dog (). Talked to a friend last night and she thought that since her hubby wouldn't let her have a pet, she got him all cleaned up to try to talk her husband into allowing her to keep the dog.

Going to call my mom at lunch and see how he's doing. He's got Lily to play with and I know that my mom will take great care of him. She's not going to keep him, though.

I know that some will say that I'm a bad mom for keeping Rebel away from home. We live in a little hick town that doesn't have dog trainers in the phone book. I'm doing what I hope is the best and that's why I came here was to get other people's opinions and help. So, don't judge me because it's not what you would have done. I know how some of you think. I was called a bad breeder because I had Gracie at the stud breeder's house for 5 days so I know that the question has come up because I'm keeping Rebel at my mom's for the week.

I dont think your a bad anything. Your doing what you think is best for Rebel. I am sorry you all are going thru this and I really hope he gets better. Good luck!!

I for one don't think you are a bad mom but rather a very concerned mom! You are doing what you feel is right for the both of you. During the time he was out, something had to have traumatized him and he is reacting the only way he knows how. For the protection of your babies and Gracie, giving him time to settle down at your mom's sounds like the perfect solution. I know you are missing him terribly. Will keep you in my thoughts...sending lots of your way!

Kimberley- it would be crazy for anyone to say that you're a bad mom for keeping Rebel at your Mom's. You have children and puppies in the house- you can't take the chance of having an aggressive dog in your home. Perhaps he was in a mood and just needed a few days to get over it. It's your dog and your life, and since Rebel is in good hands, I see nothing wrong with leaving him with your mom. I would do the same thing if I were in your position.

Sorry for your trouble, but is your fence wire or wood? If it is wire they sell these tent stakes at WALMART for abour $1-$2 for about 3 or 4 and it works really good to secure it down...... hope everything works out good...maybe he doesn't like all of the pups around..feels threatened or feels like they are taking his mommy?

That's what I was going to say - we all know our yorkies way too well...no one could ever do a switch on me - I would know it in a split second....and I have a feeling that little Rebel is just disorientated maybe from being out AND getting a bath by a stranger....

and Kimberley - you are NOT a BAD MOM and no one would ever think that ! you know him better than anyone and what you choose to do I am POSITIVE will be for his own good - how can you say that girlfriend !!

We all want to help and there is absolutely no judging.....and I don't know what happened with Gracie but LOOK at those cute puppies you have now !!
