I said it was uncomfortable. Did it hurt, NO...the wire kept bouncing back and forth on my leg and was VERY warm. THAT'S IT! Did you not read ealier??? You can adjust the amount of current that flows through the box. Geez louise. You have such a way of turning things around to suit your arguments. And, I think that your opinion on MY dogs is wrong. You never cease to amaze me. ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() I honestly cannot believe what I am reading!! You're kidding, right? How can anyone get away with accusing someone's dog of being aggressive because do something abusive. This is absurd!

![]() I am glad Rebel was found and is back to being himself... ![]() I also apologize in advance for going off topic here... SoCal- it is obvious to me that you have issues with txshopper, seems there are many of her threads that you "use" to get your point across, or however you word it.... anyways- may I suggest that you just put txshopper on your ignore list? the thread was/is supposed to be about her lost/found dog. I cringe when I see a post of yours on her threads, because it is clear how you feel about her (witnessed on several other threads) you seem to use her experiences to "educate" others, when you have a different point of view. Obviously txshopper isn't taking the bait, and I can't speak for her, but I know if I were her my lip would be bleeding by now, from bitting it. Off my soapbox...

![]() I think electric fences are GREAT! They work. Most people really don't understand how they work or the concept behind them. First of all, the electric fences we use are "pulse" type..... they are not high voltage and do not stay "hot" all of the time, little spurts of electricity run through them. All of our pastures are electric, they are so tame that you can breeze through the wires on the fence without getting "hit". If you grab hold, or have contact with the fence for more than a second you will get a mild shock, if the ground is wet the shock is much more. I don't have a fenced in yard, so therefore I have to take Chattie and Peppy out on a leash -- they are prisoners. When we take Chizzie out we carry a ball and if she gets distracted and starts to stray, the ball will refocus her. One day soon I hope to have a fenced in yard, and yes, if the dogs abuse the yard I will put an electric wire around it. If I feel like they are threatened by other critters, the wire will go on the outside.

![]() Hmm...I think one of these fences might work nicely down the middle of my bed! My husband seems to think his half of the bed is right in the middle! Or maybe a nice cattle prod...

![]() Sorry, Kim, while I was posting my opinion about the electric fences, apparently you were trying to remind everyone that this thread was about something entirely different. I am so very glad that Rebel is back to normal. I hope that you never have to go through that very wierd experience again. Some folks just leave you shaking your head.
