| That trio sure is cute. Otto is just adorable, reason people are drawn to him. It's so much fun buying for the fur kids. Otto is going to have a fantastic Christmas. Otto has been blessed to have a loving family. Happy to hear Otto got a good report form his vet.I love the photos. Happy holidays to you and your family and of course little Otto also.

| Just LOVING this thread! Your Otto is absolutely adorable - so handsome! I just adopted a 1-year-old from a local shelter a month ago. I was actually looking for a retriever for my sis when I came across his pic...his hair was long and matted but underneath I could tell he was a cutie pie. After I met him it was love at first sight! The feeling was mutual...he jumped into my lap and decided I was his . I sort of went to the shelter just to meet him...not thinking that I would take him home that day...so I didn't exactly tell my hubby what I was up to. Once I met him though I just couldn't leave him behind. My poor hubby was so upset when I brought him home, but I assured him that I would take care of him 100%. After literally ONE day my hubs completely turned around. I work from home and I now get "How's my pup?" texts all day long because my hubby has to check up on him (with photo updates of course) . We have been married for 21 years and this is our first "baby". My hubby and I are spoiling him rotten with toys, clothes, long walks, lots of playtime and of course plenty of belly and ear scratches. Our pup has been such a fun addition to our family - and my hubby now thinks we need another - HA! I have one close friend and a sister who have always had lots of pets...and while I have always liked animals (especially dogs) I never fully understood their obsession (partly due to allergies) until now ! Our little guy has truly stolen our hearts...just like I know Otto has stolen yours . Thanks again for sharing your story! I am relieved to know we are not the only "crazy" new doggie parents around! |

Wow we do have very similar stories! And yes , my little fur ball has completely changed me. He was even a trivia question during a team meeting at work LOL. I just love him and try to make him have the best life possible. I have given up waking up late even on weekends and holidays, like clockwork he requires his 5:45 am walks which I enjoy a lot, I get to walk, feel the cool air , empty streets and get a daily view of sunrise! On weekends I go back to sleep after we walk, he then sleeps for 2-3 hours beside me or my wife. On other days I just shower and start to do stuff and I feel so productive! So he has changed me in interesting ways too... Heres from today with his partners in crime... Last edited by Garoto1973; 12-23-2017 at 09:05 PM. | |

| Such a cute pic! My Benny is a Biewer Terrier so he's mostly black with white legs and golden ears. He is up at the crack of dawn too...which is fine by me because I have to start work early anyway...and yes - it is a lovely, peaceful time of day for a walk! He loves to curl up on my lap during the day while I'm at the computer...or he hangs out on the daybed in my office. Didn't realize how lonely I was during the day until I got him...I just love my new little work buddy! As an added bonus...I recently lost 35 pounds and was needing some "keep the pounds off" winter motivation...Benny LOVES to walk and is kicking my butt when it comes to making sure I get enough exercise in for the day...he likes at least 3 walks a day - no room for slacking with him! Thanks again for the cute pic - I will have to upload some soon! |

| Hello, I am thinking about moving to Costa Rica for a year. I was wondering what the vet care is like there. Are there any emergency vets as well? Any info on vet care would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |
