On weekends I go back to sleep after we walk, he then sleeps for 2-3 hours beside me or my wife. On other days I just shower and start to do stuff and I feel so productive! So he has changed me in interesting ways too...

Thanks for the cute pic! My Benny is mostly black as he is a Biewer Terrier...with a cute white belly and golden ears. He's up way before dawn too...about an hour earlier than what I am used to - but you are right...it is a lovely time for a walk! In between walks Benny loves to curl up on my lap while I am working on my computer during the day...or he hops on a daybed in my office to peer out the window to check out all the birds and critters outside. As an added bonus...I have recently lost 35 pounds (in the last 6 months) and the cold winter months are always my worst for gaining a few...but Benny is kicking my butt! He's a better motivator than any trainer for sure...he's got me doing 10,000 - 15,000 steps a day with his "come on let's go or I'm gonna be cranky" attitude

! Thanks again for the adorable pic - I will upload some soon!
