| Wow, that's horrible! I'm glad you left--I always freeze in disbelief when things like that happen, and then replay the scene over and over in my head for days afterwards, wishing I had said something sooner or done something different in the moment. I agree about finding her on Yelp or another internet review site and blasting away. |

| oh boy. how horrible very sorry both you and lexi had to experience this. you can find a nice shaver on amazon usually better quality at a resonable price. i groom mine as well to scary handing that power over. just remember if you mess up her hair will always grow back and thats how you learn. hope lexi and you have a much better day today.

| I just moved to Colorado and used a new groomer..she wasn't abusive but did a horrible job on my two girls. If you can't at least report her to the BBB, I would put up a review on: https://www.ripoffreport.com/ At least when someone googles her shop name or her name, your report will show up. | Im sooooo angry reading this .......poor lexi that "so called" groomer needs the smack at the side of the head not a lil angel Sammi had his first groom at the groomers 5 weeks back he was really nervous and kept growling and snapping at her hands, she was really good with him took her time and when he got snappy she picked him up and loved him until he had calmed down and start again all in all it took over an hour to finish him. Big big hugs for lexi and yourself and i hope youu report that woman to the necessary people she should not be allowed any were near dogs at all

| Gawd... I worry so much about my boys when they are at the groomers. IT makes me sad to think that someone else could have the power to break my boys spirit and heart and I'm not there to see. I had a groomer in my old town I loved so much. I kept going for a couple years after I moved, but it was too much to travel so I found a couple groomers here in my new town, but only 1 I really really like and the other is a box store groomer, but not a big box store, just a smaller speciality pet store, so Im really hoping the groomer treats my boys well. Id be sooooo upset if I saw that, and definitely would not have paid the lady. If she said she would call the cops on you, I'd say "Great, because I was going to call them for animal cruelty and abuse on you, 2 birds with 1 stone, I'll just wait right here until they come."

| oh thats so terrible.... to bad you didnt record this behavior on a camera phone... so you can report that heartless b#tch.... and show authorities how she handles her grooming business... i would write a letter or email to the BBB.. and let them know whats going on.. or report her to your local authorities or SPCA.... omg i wish that i was there cause i think i that she needed a smack or two upside her head... i wouldnt have given her one dime.... but thank god your baby is ok... thats what counts at the end of the day...

| That's just awful! Reporting her to the BBB is a good idea.

| I have a very good groomer. It took me a while to find the right one. Bad experiences with groomers seem to abound. All the more reason to stay with your pet like the OP did. Gracie has a long coat so it is not difficult to trim her myself. I do take her monthly to get her nails trimmed. She does go to the groomer about every 3 or 4 months to get her all evened out and looking sharp. People with puppies need to groom from day one even if they intend to use a groomer. You don't want your puppy to be held down by a groomer because it is not used to being combed and bathed. A dog will fight a groomer if they are afraid and that is how major injuries happen. |

| Poor little Lexi and you! I want to slap that groomer! This makes me so sad to read. I'm sure you are traumatized too. Give Lexi an extra hug from me and the boys.

| I am so glad that Lexi was not traumatized by that groomer. I can't believe she had the nerve to hit her TWICE !!! in front of you. I shudder to think how dogs whose owners are not there are treated. I would definitely report her.

YT 2000 Club Member | I would have grabbed my Yorkie and gotten out of there and called the better business bureau and filed a complaint. No one should ever hit your dog! The dog will become very skiddish. These groomers out there can be very mean thats why I say watch out who you go to. Always get a good recommendation before going or have someone you know groom your dog. You take a chance dropping them off at a petshop. Those groomers hit em with a hairbrush and are mean and you will never know. Your dog will be tramatized. PLEASE choose a groomer carefully! |

| Well thanks again for your support. It breaks my heart to think of Lexi's spirit being damaged by someone with an anger/control/bullying issue. That is the part that really bothers me. Lexi loves everybody and every dog. Her little tail just wags at everybody. Happy, happy girl. Hopefully, she will not remember it. She knew I was there and would protect her I hope. I wonder what this witch does to dogs that are not being watched by their owners? I am going to contact the better business bureau, but I don't think groomers are very well regulated in my oregon. I am also telling everyone I know what my experience was with her, and I will continue to do so for as long as I can. I know people who could possibly use her because of her location. I also know a guy right around the corner from her who owns a business and have him spread the word. I sort of feel like I want to call her up and find out what the heck was she thinking hitting a dog just to see what she would say to me. What did she think that was going to do? But then I think, heck I'm not going back there and will do everything I can to make sure nobody I knows goes there either. BBB for sure though! |

| I'm so sorry this happened to you two! The last time I took Crimson to the groomer... they told me my dog was a spoiled brat. :/ No one is allowed to say that but me!! I've been trimming her face and toenails since. My husband has been asking me when she was going back and I keep putting it off. (I agreed if we got a yorkie that I would keep the hair short. We always do that if we want something right? LOL! I was hoping he would change his mind but he just loves poodles with the bear look.)
