| I am not saying $3900 is not a lot of money. Just saying I am not breeding these pups for profit. And I certainly wasn't spending $3900 to not have anything at all! |

| Yorkie Yakker | I know you lost a lot of money and my heart goes out to you. My son and daughter went and bought a yorkie for me for my birthday 6 yrs ago. I went to the breeder to ask questions about parents oh and by the way she came with 24 hr guarenette, I was so mad this lady would not let you see any of her dogs but the ones she was trying to sell she would bring them up to her house and not let anyone see the other dogs or their conditions. they paid 700.00 for her and my son has apolizied numerous times saying he had no idea about puppy mills. I have had so many health issues with my yorkie, leg surgery, liver problems and now the poor thing is sick once more low protien and not wanting to eat, I just went and had an ultrasound on her today, the reason these people are saying what they saying is because of the health of the dog and suffering not to mention the heartache of seeing your baby go thru this, please do not take these commets as harsh only the truth . would you want to take the chance and a puppy suffering all of their life or a human watching with heartache over her little one |

| Wow, I understand the strong feelings regarding this, but I think these reactions might be a little more aggressive and over the top then necessary. I'd hate to see people either afraid to post, or run off of the site without really knowing what their personal situation is. I could understand if this was someone who admits to of done it in the past, or says they are going to breed the heck out of these dogs, but I haven't really gotten that impression. Maybe getting to know a new member first might be a good idea? At least giving a new member the benefit of the doubt. Now I'm only talking about the more agressive posts, there is nothing wrong with stating opinions, that's what sites like this are about. But I get the impression that this person is being attacked in a few posts.

| There are so many sickly Yorkie's made from poor breeding practices that feelings run very high when somebody is considering not neutering dogs that have not been even registered as I recall, haven't been extensively checked and certified healthy in all the areas of concern in the Yorkshire Terrier today and who is willing to breed two dogs together without addressing what about that breeding is expected to improve the breed and produce puppies that won't tend to carry bad genetic problems. It is out of concern for the hapless little puppies and the dam that cause people to grow tense when an OP at times may show disregard for their real concerns or seemingly be set on forging ahead no matter what. It is the lack of concern you see on threads on YT at times on the part of prospective breeders for the time-bombs of genetic pathology the planned puppies could easily have that tends to inflame true dog-lovers who hate to see dogs born to every possibility of disease and suffering if the parents are not properly vetted as to the areas of health that must be cleared before you can safely breed. And partner that passion with a person who may seemingly not be even listening or seems unconcerned at the time and it does get heated. But the health of the puppies to be born as well as that of the dam that drives that passion and not any desire to aggress or hurt. No one who has the very best interest of the puppies they may be bringing into the world should ever mind being informed/reminded about what is in the pups' best interests. But often they do and the stress heats up.

| She already said if Lulu is pregant then it will her last...that's good! 2nd, she said that if she does breed them it won't be another few years and the pups will be given away by ppl who wants them. A couple years I think is enough time rest time for them and I assume that will the last time. Nothing wrong with that is it? Yorkie breeders breed theirs every year |

| They also have their dogs tested, as well as papers for the puppies, which the OP won't be able to provide because her dogs have none. Those dogs are not to standard and you can see it from pictures.

| My husband (Okiemoe) wasn't referring to the informing or reminding, he even agreed with that. It was the catty remarks and innuendoes that all rzrpretty is after is money. We get the impression that these two are and will continue to be pets. That any breeding done will be only if her vet gives the okay, and the resulting puppies are to be given into loving homes of close relatives and friends. And these resulting puppies will be unregistered pets, since the original owner didn't provide papers. She's also planning to wait a long period of time (if she isn't already pregnant) which would most likely show if there are severe hereditary problems. Again, sounds like her vet will be closely consulted. Since these pups will be unregistered and pets I don't think they will have much effect on the breed's standard... But I know any breeding should not be done by the faint of heart, so of course warnings and opinions are understood. I'll admit, I found some comments obviously directed to insult rzrpretty's moral judgment regarding profiting from her dogs. While others were directed to educate and share personal experience of sad/heartbreaking results of irresponsible breeding, which I found very beneficial to the subject.

Well, I'm not 100% sure.... if she had a puppymill going those pups might have been from other yorkies. I don't really know if there is anything she said that I can believe. LuLu is cleaning herself on a regular basis, has an extended tummy and is eating a bit more than Maxx. but it's hard to say - only time will tell.

Answer me this... where exactly did you get your Vet License? Cause I didn't realize I was chatting with a group of Vet's. I should really go back to my fur babies doc and demand my money back because she apparently doesn't know what she is talking about and obviously doesn't have clue about small dogs. I own a car, that doesn't mean I'm going to tell you how to care and drive yours! just sayin.......
