| Need advice My neighbor leaves yorkie poos out now in cold Hey just wanted to get some feed back on this. My neighbors live behind me and have called the dog catchers on me which is a relative in that field when my dog have escaped from me once or twice a year now they let their children maybe 25 or so move into their dads house which past recently and we did get along with him. Well now they have two yorkie poos running all the time and down at my house we do have 5.5 acres then 3.5 well through the night I have noticed that they are still left out and its now in the 30,s. I am a bit concerned for the dogs being left with no shelter and water and no one home and fridge temps to a small dog. OH SO CRUEL!!!!!!!!!!! Should I call human society ??? which I do own more animals that allowed but I do have 5.5 acres and 9 dogs only 5 allowed with out a kennel license. I feel so bad for those dogs it is cold as crap out, these dogs are 4-6 pounds |

| No I have no one so do I take the dog that comes down here and find it a home then while they are gone which is always go up and grab the other and find it a home their is wolfs hawks and lots of thing to get them here. I have all neighbors concerned with their well being and one was in the street and someone knocked on their door to tell them and no one home imagine that that lady was so concerned. I do not want them turning me in for to many pets. But I do take care of all my pets , my pets are happy. |

| I had a neighbor with an intact purebred male dog that was always getting loose. The first time I returned him to his home, they answered the door and I had to drag the poor dog to them. After that, sometimes they would answer and sometimes they wouldn't, even though I could see a tv and computer running. Everytime I took him home, I'd tell them he'd make a better pet and stay home if they neutered him, but noooooo, they wanted to breed him, he was a purebreed. One time I let my dogs out at 5am on a Saturday as I had an agility trial and that poor dog was outside my fence causing my dogs to raise bloody heck. I was so incensed that when I left for the trial at 6:30, I stopped at their house, rang the door bell until I got an answer and told the husband that his dog was at my fence when I let my dogs out and caused them to make a horrid rucus. He might not care what his neighbors thought, but I did and I don't want a complaint from them. STILL it did no good. Another time, I kept the dog overnight, called animal control the next day and just as animal control was getting the dog, the man drove up. They gave him a warning. Other incidents happened, but after the dog showed up at my house with a bloody ear and got drops of blood all over my front porch and up the walls, I started making plans. I spoke to a person in that breed rescue and when some little girls showed up with the dog on a Saturday and said they had had him since Wed, I called the rescue. I kept him overnight and early Sunday, took him to the rescue. I never told anyone, until now, but I am sure the people have a good idea I took him. I told the little girls that I took him to the shelter. I am happy to say the dog is neutered and living happily ever after in his current home. Oh and the people who owned him never got another dog, they are probably relieved he is gone. Even if animal control comes out and the results aren't what you had hoped, don't give up. I regret that I hadn't called the rescue sooner or animal control more times, as the dog might not have gotten a torn up ear. There are ways to help these dogs.

| Hi, I'm new to this forum, but not in the other peoples defense or anything, have you taken into consideration that maybe these dogs aren't well trained and having this much room to run maybe they don't go home when called. I agree though, my smallest is five pounds, and she has done this to me, not far, but just refuses to listen, if she gets out she's off to the woods looking for bunnies or trying to find my cats outside. Sometimes though she will be a good girl and just wants to stretch her legs a little and comes right back. But like I said, that's not always the case. Maybe these people don't understand the consequences of leaving such a small dog out like that. Good luck. |

| No I do not think they understand nor do I think they care about the dogs. They drive by and see their dog In my yard with my yorkies and do not think a thing, to young and to busy for these poor dogs, hardly ever home. So the dogs are left out 20 hours a day with no shelter. Just plain ignorant. |

When Lizzie got loose one time and went running around like a wild thing, I did too, until I got her. No way would I just leave one of my babies out to run loose. It never happened again because I made sure it didn't happen. She is either on a leash or secure in my fenced yard. It only takes one careless mistake.....

| Well first I'm gonna ask you to look into a kennel licenses for your dogs I know in my area you can get one weather or not you breed but in some areas you have to have a small business license and a note from your vet saying you breed or you have to have documentation that you use the dogs for hunting so i understand that it might not be possible but i do think its worth the check second if the dogs come into your yard the i would say yes snatch them take them to a rescue it would be best for them but please do not go Into there yard and take the dogs that is theft and you can be fined and have your dogs taken away okay that's all the advice i have to offer

| Call the humane society or animal control to report them...that is probably considered animal cruelty or a breach of the animal control law in your area. That is totally unacceptable, small dogs (or most dog breeds) could get super ill being outside in that weather...
