| I have to agree with the posters who state that a dog knows it owner. Sophie Kate barks are the bathroom door if I DARE go in there without her. I need to read the rest of the thread but my goodness it sounds like you are doing a good thing with adopting this little dog and now this woman is just plain annoying you. Good Luck.

| OMG! What is wrong with this woman? If you can help it, please do not leave Murphy alone, it sounds like she would do anything to get him. Like maybe seeing when you leave your house and break in. Please be careful!

| Dogs do recognize their owners, even years later. My uncle raised greyhounds for racing. He sold one of the pups to someone in England that wanted him for racing. Something happened about two years later. I think the dog was injured and wouldn't be able to race anymore. The owners no longer wanted him and were going to put him down. My uncle decided to buy him back. When the dog got off the plane and saw my uncle, he went NUTS! After two years, that dog still remembered and loved my uncle. But aside from that this lady is crazy. I agree with the others, take it to the vet (at her expense.) Even if the vet responds that it's a recent scar, that doesn't necessarily mean anything. I'd put definite restrictions on this woman as far as calling you or coming to your house. I'd documet every phone call and the gist of the conversation and I'd print out each email and keep them in a binder. Good luck. I'm sure the dog will have a wonderful life with you. (Did I miss what his name is?) And how big is he? So exciting (except for the crazy lady. |

It reminds me of the Christian the Lion that the 2 guys raised and reunited with - this video is OUTSTANDING !! and not fake - this was a huge video on the net - I've watched it numerous times - dogs are so much more human bonded - there's no way a dog wouldn't know his 'person'

When I was a little girl, our Border Collie mix got out of our fenced yard and was missing for close to a month. My mom was a single parent and worked two jobs but when she found free time, we were constantly out driving around looking for him! One afternoon, my mom decided to go down a dirt road that we had never been on. We got to the end of it and sadly, no Bo anywhere. My mom turned the car around and was heading back down that long dirt road.....guess what we saw....a black dog. We thought that it was too good to be true, but he looked up and we just knew...my sister and I jumped out of the car, shouted, "BO-BO!!!!!!!!!" I have NEVER in my life seen a dog run that fast, allllllllllllll the way down that road!!! He literaly knocked us all down jumping on us, licking us, climbing all over us and none of that stopped once we got him in the car and even back home, he was beside himself!!!!!!!! These fur kids don't forget...they know us! | |

| I can't believe it! Who would have thought? I hope she doesn't think that if she makes enough of a fuss, you will just capitulate and let her have the Murphy. She didn't even think it was her dog to begin with. Thankfully she also began her story with a dog that was intact and Murphy was neutered, so you know he can't possibly be her dog. Who would let a nut like her have a dog?

| Would there be any way to contact a family member of hers (maybe through the vet) to see if she hasn't been taking her medication? You need to take the advise posted & get the police involved. I'm sure they could contact one of her family members & find out just what is going on w/this woman. Keep close eye on Murphy in the mean time. Good Luck. |
