| Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Change your phone number and email ASAP. File a complaint with your local PD. Get Murphy microchipped and nose printed. Do NOT contact this lady directly any more. Take a copy of your vet report from yesterday to the police and animal control officer. File a counter report for harassment. Get the name of the officer who takes the report. If she tries to contact you again, tell her to call the officer who took the report. I would also make an appt with a lawyer. She sounds just screwy enough that she might try to sue. Document everything you have done up till now. Get a notariz |

| Donating YT 4000 Club Member | (Continued) get a notarized statement from the person who gave you the dog going over all the details. After filing your complaint, ask the officers to give her a visit to tell her in no uncertain terms that she is to back off or you will file charges. Also if anything happens to Murphy, she will be the prime suspect! If you can't change your # look into getting her number blocked on your line for a few months. Good luck. Doing a good thing should be rewarded, not punished by a desperate person. |

you have to be careful and not divulge into peoples personal medical history - she could come back with an invasion of privacy suit and harrassment and or stalking - you have to watch your own back here not just hers just cover your bases - document everything thru the vet and keep looking for his real owners if you can showing you know it isn't her and that you tried. I do agree- don't leave him alone since she knows where you live and alert your neighbors for any suspicious ativity - maybe your local patrol too - if she's threatened you - Make sure they know it and never threaten back ! | |
