how long was her dog missing? i have had puppies recognize me when they haven't seen me in 3 to 4 months. the fact the dog didn't show any recognition and she said it wasn't her dog. i don't think it's her dog. if you do go to the vet make sure she pays for it. it's something wrong with a person that can call the police and tell them you stole her dog. i think you've gone above and beyond.

Glad it all worked out for you both ! he's a lucky boy to have found someone willing to locate his family but since you can't he's STILL lucky to have a nice home and seems happy with you and you with him

OMG! My vet called me today to warn me that this crazy woman called and demanded to know the names of every person that touched Murphy yesterday. I have no clue what she plans on doing with this information or why she thinks she needs it. The only thing I can think of is that she somewhere in her nutty head thinks that I have managed to coherce the vet and all the employees of the vets office to lie for me in order for me to get to keep the dog.
It looks like the battle isn't over yet.

Please make sure your vet knows not to give her your address or any other information about you and make sure he tells his ENTIRE staff.

WOW! She is still thinking this is her dog?! I just have to say...when we come home from the grocery store, my guys go NUTTY!!!!! They are sooooo happy to see us after that short amount of time and I know that if they hadn't seen us for longer, they would be thrilled and would have acted crazy. Not only did Murphy not act this way, but she even said that he was not hers....I would know my fur babies, IN A HEARTBEAT!

She sounds a bit out there!
