Question - do parti's have ticking on their bodies? Pigmented spots?

As puppies a biewer may have a white saddle and spots of color may be seen on their skin...eventually hair in these spots grows out black...leaving streaks within the white.

Mr Antonucci passed away in March 2008. YTCA added the color disqualification in October 1, 2007. IABCA uses the YTCA standard for judging...quite obviously with the noted dates, Mr Antonucci showed his dog prior to the change. Their color is not weighted as a fault...it is a disqualification in confirmation showing.

Yes the parti's spot in the same way. Here is a picture of my AKC parti boy after I scalped him. He is covered in spots.

The Parti colored Yorkie can show in our shows, she would be judged against the FCI standards (FCI - Fédération Cynologique Internationale)

The color “steel blue” is defined exactly: the silky, straight and shiny coat reflects a bluish shimmer in sunlight. Steel blue may range from a darker to a lighter color, but not silver. A woolly, cottony, or wavy coat is not allowed, nor is a coat with champagne or white hair. Often a middle to dark anthracite is confused with steel blue (Yorkies with the former have hardly a correct tan). A Yorkshire Terrier of at least 24-30 months whose tan is already correctly shaded with gold and without grey hair usually hat a slightly lighter steel blue.

In IABCA shows...the dogs are judged against the standard and are awarded ratings or grades...with that stipulation in the standard I'm not certain a judge would award a V1 rating.

Frankly I'm amazed that you received a reply to an email that quickly....there is a decided lack of customer service on their part.

So all his ticking eventually came in black? Meaning it was white and changed over...I'm just curious. This was another discussion being held.

Yes...but those spots did not grow out when he was a puppy. In fact..I don't remember even noticing them when he was younger. It seems they came out over night. lol

It started out black but broke to a dark steal blue.

Here is a pic of his spots starting to grow out.

But the partis have already been accepted by the AKC and the Biewers have already been denied acceptance, because they are first and foremost yorkshire terriers. But since they call themselves another breed, the AKC won't accept them.

The AKC has a different set of criteria for starting a new breed, so the Biewers are in a bit of a pickle.

And now since part of the Biewer people claim that there is another breed mixed in and the other part says no they are yorkies, it makes it really bad for them.

At least with the partis we all agree what they are, well so far anyway, I suppose that could change..

Oh it can always be reversed. All it would take is someone to get on the board with a desire and some money.

It may onot be in my lifetime, but it will change, even if they just add a separate category for them.

I suppose. But based on that statement by the YTCA, I presume no one with the desire would ever be elected to the board.
