That is very true...I just don't personally agree with charging such an absorbent amount for a dog "just because," thus the statement. I think when that happens and you are seeing 1000+ profit per pup, then it's very easy to lose sight of things. But that's just me...then again, I do drive a Ford.

But hey, I'm not losing any sleep over what people charge for them in the grand scheme of things...I never thought that the prices charged for them were that much of a shocker...I thought it was just a commonly known thing.

Heck, I have also seen them for sale fairly recently by breeders here on YT for as much as 4500. Now whether or not these breeders are getting the prices they are advertising for them...who knows? Guess you'd have to contact them to find out. But the higher price tags are certainly still there, no question about it. I would think that the consistent pricing that is seen reflects the amount that people are consistently paying...

I see "standard" colored yorkies priced these prices all the time on petfinder. I just wonder if they actually get those prices!

I just realized I put petfinder instead of puppyfind! I don't thing rescues and shelters charge that! Oops!

Recognize (and thus will allow registry transfers into AKC).

This is a man made breed and the genes that some of our dogs inherited may not be the ideal genetic code that the YTCA wishes it could be.

That is exactly what this parti breeder would like to see. A variety class for the parti yorkie. Just as the American cocker has three color variety classes. The three varieties do not show in the same ring until group.

I also believe the keepers of the parti have a long way to go to get the parti up to the standard of today's show yorkie. IMO...when and if we start breeding better examples of the breed...just maybe the YTCA will take the parti seriously. I just hope and pray it's in my lifetime, so I can show one.

I think there are some partis out there that could win over a standard if the color was allowed and the judges were not biased.

But with just the coat (not color) and the conformation, they are perfect

If a buyer really takes the time to go over those pages, they will see the majoity of the parti pups on them are priced between $300 and $3,500.

Yes...there are a couple females that for whatever reason (gold or choc parti) the breeder feels is worth $4,000 to $5,000...but you see that kind of pricing in the traditional colors as well for tinies.

A few of these parti's may fetch an outrageous price..but the majority do not.

The price tag often put on Partis is an old issue...nothing new. Not sure what point there is to prove there.
