| ![]() Which means the people who are complaining are either a lazy or B not someone who needs a sweet little yorkie. Leave it. and don't sweat the lazy or helpless who can't be bothered. ty |

| ![]()
Keep your questionaire. The way i do mine is they WILL fill out one if they even want to talk to me. I have people write and say "when is a good time to call". Sorry, I don't do phone calls unless I have FIRST APPROVED you. IF I approve them, then I will call the number they have provided and we will chat and get to know each other. But, yes, it is possible to make a wrong choice even with the questionaire. people can be so deceiving and lie right thru their teeth. But I have found that mine helps more than not.
() ![]() |

The 3 Musketeers Donating Member | ![]() Don't want to fill out a questionaire? Hmmm what are they hiding? I'm going to give away one of my puppies, I don't have a questionaire but I won't give him to anyone who won't let me visit their home. People don't realize that these are our babies who depend on us to keep them safe. I would never be able to live with myself if the puppy went to a home that mistreated them. Keep the questionaire.

| ![]() That would send up red flags for me. I would automatically think that someone had something to hide if they didn't want to fill it out. I would definitely do it. I've been looking for Biewer breeders in the Southeast area and I've filled out a questionnaire for practically everyone before they would even begin discussing if any litters might be available in the beginning of next year (Starting research early). I think its fairly common practice. In fact, I prefer the questionaires to people just saying "well tell me about yourself". I don't know what to say and I end up writing a novel so I don't leave out anything the breeder might want to know. Add to your questionnaire that the new owner has to send in pictures of the baby every six months/year. I saw that on one questionnaire and I thought it was a great way for you to see how the pup was being treated, and it gave the owner an opportunity to brag to someone else.

| ![]() When I was doing rescue there were people who did the same thing and I came to the conclusion that these people were not into adding a member to their family but to own and enslave the animal...I felt these were the kind of people who would easily give up a dog if it caused problems in their life or they wanted to move and not take the animal. You have to make a decision on whom you want to have your babies and how you want them treated. Good Luck to you.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | ![]() I'd prefer it if there's a questionnaire. It shows that the breeder really cares where their pups are going. If someone has a problem filling one out, then they must have something to hide or something, and aren't worth it anyway. The only thing that's ever bugged me on a questionnaire was someone who asked for emailed pictures of the inside of our home. I thought that was a tad invasive, no? I'd invite them to come over and do a home check, but I thought it was just a little odd. Had it said pictures of the yard it would've made sense, but they wanted the inside of the house. PS - I love filling them out too. =P I'm addicted to the ones on Facebook! ![]()

I disagree that this tells consumers anything about the quality of a breeder by having the questionnaire. Someone could put one up, but accept every application; breeders like to "look" picky. Breeders and buyers have to "beware." Breeders can use it to weed out the worst of the worst.

| ![]() I would keep the questionaire. I just had to rehome my golden and I sent the new family a list of questions to answer before I would even talk to them on the phone. When they didn't hesitate to answer them I pretty much knew I had the right people especially after talking with them a couple of times. It's a great way to "meet" for the first time.

| ![]() My gut was telling me to keep it and I am so glad that everyone agrees....It is really hard to find good homes and the questionnaire just made me feel a little bit better about it...I got lucky last time and found GREAT homes with the help of the questionnaire so maybe I will get lucky again if I keep it....Thanks everyone!!! ![]() |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() That exactly my point, I hope puppy buyers don't put too much confidence in this sort of thing.
