| ![]() I'm so sorry you had to make such a difficult decision. You tried to correct the situation and gave it time. Even though you feel you did what was best, it is still losing a member of your family. I'll be thinking of your Lexie, and hoping that she is found by the perfect family for her, and I'll be thinking of you and hoping the heaviness in your heart is soon lifted. ![]() |

| ![]() I am very sorry that it did not work out. But, you did your best and tried. Now, your giving Lexi and second chance to find a new and loving home that she can be happy in. that is something to take pride in. Your doing what is best for her, and that was the only thing that could be done. Please go easy on yourself, and remember that your doing the best thing , not the wrong thing. Giving this beautiful, little yorkie a chance of a new life , is the best thing you could have done after trying everything else. Soon she will have a new home, and be happy. ![]()

All of the kind words of everyones' responses is helping me feel a little better. I know I did the right thing, and I know that Lexie will be okay.....I guess it'll just take a little time before I can make myself believe it.

| ![]() Rose, I read this last night and just didn't know what to say. I am so sorry. I had hoped the situation would work itself out. I know your heart is broken. I hope Lexi gets a home where she's loved and is the one and only. I think she might like that. ![]() Tammy

| ![]() Rose, I am so sorry that things didnt work out between the girls. I am sure that you are feeling all the emotions one would in your situation. You have to realize that you did the thing that made the most sense for the safety of the girls. I will keep Lexi in my prayers, and you as well.

| ![]() Rose, In talking to you I know you did all you could. Your decision was not a quick decision, but a long thought out decision. If youdidnt love her as you did then the decision would have came VERY quick & you wouldnt have taken such concern as to where you were sending her. Take peace in your decision, as you know she is being LOVED & well cared for. mscat is right... you gave Lexie Another Chance at Love ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

| ![]() We had to rehome a lab once because my kids were young and he was hurting them...Jumping on them. ( My son almost lost an eye on the corner of an end table) Anyway the shelter rehomed him to a police officer and he lived a very loving long life. It turned out I know the family. But the rehoming was soooo hard! I know how you feel but in time it will be ok. She will be happier, you did the right thing. ![]()

| ![]() Oh Rose! I am just now seeing this! My heart is breaking for you-this had to be one of the toughest decisions you've had to make, but I think in your situation this was the best for Lexie, for your family, and for the other yorkies. I am so sad for you, having to make the decision, but when Lexie is in her new home where she feels better about her new surroundings without the anxiety she felt toward Hallie, I think she will be so much happier. It couldn't have been fun for her to have those feelings at all, and it wasn't good for Hallie either. I am so glad that you were able to make the best decision for Lexie. I am sending thoughts and prayers to you-I hope your heart heals soon knowing that you made the best decision, and some for Lexie that she finds a wonderful new home where she can be the only doggie and be so happy being spoiled with love, affection and attention. Hugs to you.

| ![]() Rose, I do understand the frustration of living with two girls who fight. Chattie lives on one side of the house and Chizzie lives on the other, separated 24/7 by baby gates. It is difficult to say the least because all of the other dogs are affected. I am so very sorry that your heart is breaking, but I know that you are doing the absolute best you can for your beloved Lexie. ![]() |

| ![]() We had th every same issue with 2 of our males... We tried to live behind gates for almost 6 months before I made the decision to give up Gretzky! I surrendered him to a Yorkie Rescue and they found him the most wonderful home! He is living high on the hog at a resort in the Berkshires MA! His new owner found out that he had leukemia shortly after the adoption and from what I have been told Gretzky never leaves his side! Everything happens for a reason. Gretzky had a job to do. Not only has a better life as an only dog but has made another man's fight one that he doesn't face alone. You did the right thing... I am sure when you find out about your baby's new home you will be convinced of it! Hang in there... It gets better!!! |
