| you should get the one that your heart goes to. chemistry is very important in getting a pet. there is lots of worked needed when you bring that puppy home, you will handle it a lot better if its something that your heart sets on. IMO, the second one does appear cuter with more standard yorkie features! |

| but i know it's hard for you to decide... another thing to consider though, is that you don't want to get the puppy till it's at least 12 weeks old. i really think it's the best for you and for the dog. they need to be with their mommy and siblings until then to learn socialization, soft mouth,...etc.. so if you do decide to get the younger puppy, then it's best to wait till the puppy is older. i don't understand breeders that would let them go earlier than 12 weeks!? doesn't seem very responsible to let puppies go to new homes before they are ready.

| I am 100% sure this is not a puppymill. I am an attorney and looked up her business and home through diligent research. I also spoke to the Vets around her area, the Vets she uses, the local police station and the Sherrif's office. Also, I have spoken to over 5 refrences and I am completely happy with her as a breeder. As for the personality issue.....they are similar when she listed their personalities. The differences were minor to me so I did not bother to list them. The one thing she did make note of was that Lola was very confident and she had this attitude about her (not a bad thing she said). She couldnt give me a complete list on the new puppy since it was 2 weeks younger and those two weeks makes a difference in a dog. My cousins pup and my friends pup are the same and one purchased from a nearby store and the other got from a friend. They both act similiar and are wonderful pups but they too have certain characterisitics that are not the same. All I have been reading on these threads is if your dog does this and does your dog act this way and many people all agree that their dogs do or act a certain way. So, yes, I do believe dogs can be similar especially if brought up in the same house by the same person. Thank you everyone for your help!!! I am going to see what the Vet says. |

| I went to your breeder site. It concerns me that they are on a 200 acre farm in Missouri and are licensed and inspected by the USDA. Also, they do not list any Health Guarantees on their pups and they don't show any of the parents. It seems they only breed 2 breeds, so that a plus. I hope it all works out... |

| They do have a health guarantee its in the contract. As a lawyer I would never take something without a contractual agreement. I did have the police department and sherrifs department go to their home and tell me what they knew about this breeder. Her sister does her website----and is not always on top of it. She will send you pics of the parents and she always tells you the bloodlines of each pup---the parents and grandparents as well. I understand you all want to protect Yorkies in everyway and not have them from puppymills and I do would never, but I did my research and she is a great breeder. Also, so many of you have gotten puppies less than 12 weeks and I never saw people complain about that. |

USDA means she is a commerical breeder and one of the requirements is...dogs are kept in kennels outside of the home.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I think it should be Health Then Temperament Then Look's but there are no Guarantees on look's, What if the new one grows up to not look like what you want? Look's shouldnt be number one at this age unless your showing. |

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I think that maybe you should go with the 2nd one, the new puppy. They are both adorable but it sounds like you are not too happy with the 1st one, Lola. Btw you really can't tell their personality just by looking at a pic, it may look mean and be the friendliest dog in the world. Also i would advice you to wait till the 2nd puppy is at least 12 weeks old before she ships her and also so that she can let her personality develop more, and let her spend more time with her mother. Taking them away from the mother too early can have negative effects on the dog's personality later on.

| Follow your heart, go with the new pup that you say you LOVE, and not with the one you "like" and have to learn to love. It is so hard to pick from pictures alone. Imagine how uncomfortable those puppies are being dressed up and posed. But, based on the pics alone I'd be choosing the new pup. I kinda think Lola's ears appear too wide-set for my preference, and she is a bit awkward looking at an age when most puppies are at their cutest. Now about the breeder, how did you find her, and are you comfortable that she is producing healthy puppies? That is much more important than looks. I also hate to think of a "too young" puppy being shipped, with weather being what it is now. Also, have you researched hypoglycemia in little puppies? Maybe the "sign" you need to see is that after losing out on 2 and maybe 3 pups from this breeder, just maybe you should be looking for a puppy closer to where you live so you can SEE it & play with it. Just my thoughts

| I think the new pup looks similar to Lola at 9 weeks. I’d guess that the new pup will look like Lola. So, looks may be irrelevant. Do you have a preference for full grown weight? If so, you could ask the breeder for a guesstimate for each pup.

| Oh my God, what an absolutely awful position to be in! That is soooo hard, I really feel for you girl! I know just how heart crushingly disapointing it is when your plans change at the last minute, it happened to me twice before I got my pup four weeks ago. Are you sure there are no other breeders you could go to and meet that're closer to you? It is always, hands down, better to meet the breeder, parents and the pup before you bring him/her into your home. Shipping a puppy you've never met is such a risky business, you could probably sue the hell outtsa them if they lied to you about anything or something goes drastically wrwong, but that wont mend your broken heart. What I find so confusing and unpredictable is just how little you can tell what a Yorkie adult will look like as a pup. More often than not they change a LOT. Totally hard to work out! lol Also, I know how hard it is to wait, but 12 weeks really should be the minimum age for a puppy to leave their Mother/siblings. It is time they will never get back and is sooooo worth it in the end, honestly. It means you will end up with a more well adjusted, happy, confident dog. I know it is hard to wait, and some breeders aren't prepared to keep them that long, but you will not regret it if you wait, where as you might well refret it if you take that 8 week old pup home. I realise what everyone is saying probably seems like an attack, but it's not. We just want to see you with the healthiest, best suited puppy. We're completely behind you, I promise. I hope your decision is not too hard and that once made you feel better and happy about it. Let us know what you do, wont you? Cant wait to hear!
