| The sickest part of this whole story is that authorities probably won't even care or investigate. As far as digging up the dog and looking for bullets etc. I can tell you I would be shocked if authorities took the initiative. The only way she would prob. get into trouble is if the neighbors had heard gunshots and called when it happened. They might have come to see who was shooting and arrested her for being drunk and discharging a weapon. I would concentrate on getting her sober and getting the guns. Sounds like anyone who lives there is in danger.

| I'm so glad to hear you and your fiancee are on the same page. I seriously doubt that much could or would be done about the dog. Like I mentioned in my first post, it's probably not even illegal in Louisiana. Plus it happened months ago and you didn't witness anything yourself. I am worried about you SIL's to be. You really should think about calling CPS, tell them she has a substance abuse problem and a gun and her children may be in danger. I think shooting their dog is definitely a form of abuse. I'm sure the girls won't cooperate with having their dogs taken away. The dogs probably help them cope with living with someone like their mom. Hopefully there is a relative who can take the girls and possible the dogs in. |

YT 1000 Club Member | This sounds like a very troubled woman. Drinking and violent rages not good. It makes me wonder what kinds of abuse have gone on in that home that you've never heard about from your fiance. Very scarey and you should proceed from here on out with your eyes wide open to every aspect of this family. Definately not a place for your children someday to visit, and I'm sure that won't go over big. Those poor defensless animals! Good luck, I think you've had some pretty good advice from other posters so far! |

| agree I think that the person who said you need to think about the situation long term is right. I would really consider how she will act around your children. You need to let your soul and heart tell you what to do. |

YT 1000 Club Member | Any chance the children of this woman could group up and have this woman commited? They do have some power over this if any of them are of age. I know it would be tough for them but if they want a mother who is sane (if it's possible they may need to be the ones to have it happen). The woman sounds like she needs extensive help. |
