I think what lidarose is trying to say is why do you have to bash people when they are going through a hard time, sending nasty pms, or emails. No one knows what that person is going through to have to rehome their beloved pet. Bashing is not an opinion it's just mean.

Daisy Mae started the thread by stating "Some people are so mean"; "think about things before taking action"; "think before you hit send". You stated "I am not advocating offensiveness or being ignoble"; that is what lidarose is saying we should agree with. I think the thread started off well, but just like a lot of threads it has gotten off topic a few times.

You are right. I contributed to that some...sorry. I am now trying for the life of me to understand why one member stated that she does not want and will not have children and now she is getting a lecture and being told that she doesn't really know what she wants (I guess everyone else has a better idea of what she wants than she does?) and that she should get her tubes tied because that is what is best for her !?!?! Geez....

NO this did not happen to me. It happened to a Friend of mine and REALLY upsets me!!!

I had the same thing happen to me when I posted that I had to rehome a pet, as a consequence of that.. its really hard to post on here as often as I used to. I still remember each and every person who said nasty things to me, and it really hurt. So thank you for this thread.

they are not saying she doesnt want kids lol they were just asking her what if it did happen. she said that she would use 2 typed of birth control or something.

then they were talking about ways she could prevent it and so was she!

nothing was said mean to her about her not wanting kids.

Yeah...I was only stating I didn't want children because someone asked what I would do if my child was allergic - so I told them I wasn't having kids. Then I kept feeling like I needed to further explain myself and the discussion of preventatives came up and sorry it got so off topic. Anyway, my Lacy is my baby

No, no one was mean (well, maybe one person ) but I don't like being told that I will change my mind about something. I'm pretty stubborn and don't change my mind too often once I decide something...actually I'm REALLY stubborn LOL (just ask my Dad ).

I love YT its like a family to me, and I know some disagree, but my gosh people, if you have a reason for rehoming it must be pretty bad, I 100% support it for the purpose of getting the baby a new a great home, and yes the one about rehoming because of another, ticked me off, but then I thought about the dog is better off because if they will rehome it for that reason. How would you feel if you had cancer and knew you were dieing and had to find homes for them, or if you couldn't make ends meet after working 50 hours a week and could barely feed them, or you had to move and the only place you could go to wouldn't let you have them, are you suppose to live on the streets, is that a good home for you and your dog...or you had to work 60 hours and left it home all by itself all the time, which is better to find the dog a home or keep it cause you don't believe in rehoming...I just brought this up because we have no idea what is going on with people or there situation..

It takes a big person and I am taking alot of heart and soul for someone on here that needs to rehome because of there situation...we are all crazy in love with our animals, well most of us , I would give mine a kidney if I had to..I had to put one down a few years ago due to liver shunt and I cried everyday for a year over Tucker, but I did what I thought was best for him...that is call LOVE people, and some people love there dogs so much that it about kills them but they rehome..Life without animals has to be very hard and cruel, but to hang on to a dog, give it no time, lock up for long hours, hardly ever human contact, or don't have enough money for food or your medical condition prohibits then I am sorry for the people that don't understand...God forbid you had to go through something like this.....
I have a problem with a person that is on this forum, they get a dog and resell it after a couple of months and then get more and does the same thing over & over...but you know I haven't said anything about this person online, it is really none of my business, I feel sorry for the dogs, but then again, I don't they are so much better off to get a real home...What good is it going to do for me to start stuff and get more uproar on YT..none at all..the reason I am saying this is If you have nothing nice to say Keep your Mouth shut. I have try ,really hard too but sometimes I can't, I need to just think really hard before I say harmful things, which isn't easy
I have had mean cruel things said about me breeding Lexie, and yes they hurt, she was breed to improve the breed, the stud was excellent, but someone put there 2 cents telling other yt members and yes it hurt, but then I am a bigger person than them, and I know my reason for what I do, and there isn't anyone that loves all there babies more than me, I just look at it this way, people that are so rude and hateful, are very miserable with themselves.
I think alot of the problem on YT is people type before they think, and they think they know everything, one of the best gifts of all is the ability to never stop learning..there isn't anyone on this forum or any forum that knows everything only God does...I really think the time has come that we all unite and try to get along better.
We don't know everyone on the forums, we talk but you don't know what is going on in there lives, and being mean, cruel and evil to people you don't know how you are impacting there lives. God only knows what is going on with these people or what they are really going through I just think we all need to STOP and think before we post, how are we going to effect that persons life...it maybe just a smart comment from us, but it could be a life moment for the person on the other end...

If you ( in General) want to be Mean Rude or Disrespectful to a person who is already inso much personal pain then I Am talking to you when I started this thread...

Had the same problem when I bought a handicapped and sick puppy, so people are mean whether you have to rehome a dog or whether you try to help one. Some people are just like that, I guess.

i personally can completely respect and appreciate those who do not want to have children..and don't.

I would rather you be honest about how you feel and not have the kids than to have them and turn out to be a bad parent. NOW...those of you on here saying you do not want kids...i'm not saying you would be a bad parent...i'm only saying i know some people personally that should never have had kids

My issue was not that you are so sure YOU will never have to rehome a pet. It's the statement you made that you "don't feel sorry for the human, just the pet". That was a cruel thing to say. Sorry. That's the truth. Nine years ago when we got Rusty, two and a half years ago when we got Tucker, a year and a half ago when we got Maddie....we thought we'd have them forever. WOW! 220 something posts in less than half a day! Ya'll 'discuss' things like my family. Its gonna take all day and in the end there are gonna be people who are hurt but there will also be people who have grown and even some relationships that are stronger. Here is how I feel about rehoming. YT members are family to me. Lets say my sister was pregnant and could not take care of the baby and was talking about putting he/she up for adoption. I would do WHATEVER was necessary to support her and the baby (even if that meant giving the baby a new loving home myself), because I would never want to see her hurt like that. Thats probably why members who HAVE to rehome come here to YT first. Because they know that their YT FAMILY will do everything possible to support them and create a solution to the problem. I can honestly say that I don't know what I would do if I was in a situation where I might have to think about rehoming but I can tell you what my family would do. They would do everything possible to protect me and Jamie because he is an extension of me now. JUST like my skin baby's will be in the future.

In conclusion, I love you guys because everytime I get on here its like having Sunday dinner at my moms but not QUITE as loud!
