![]() As for the suggestion by this vet to PTS breeding stock speaks to the vet who allowed Mia to be transported and sold being so ill. From what I have been able to see with a quick search of these women this is not the first sick puppy they have sold. Some have even died. ![]()

| ![]() No Elaine, you do not deserve it, and I am sure next to the life of Mia the money doesn't mean anything to you. I know that is how I would feel. The nerve of these breeders? My Gizmo came from a BYB who I believe loved them, but did not know what she was doing. Tenci came from a pet store. When I first got Haley, she gave me a scare with a little blood in her poo. The vet said it was Giardia (I think). I came online here asking what this was? There were several people who was willing to help me, but others couldn't stop asking me to scan her pedigree and let them know who the breeder was. Turns out I got intouch with her breeder who was a very nice lady. She offered to help me in any way I needed her to. The vet said Haley had LP and some other problems too. The breeder offered to refund any money I had paid for her (and she had not even sold her to me), and pay for any medical bills I was out or any surgerys she may have to have in the future. This lady was so shocked by what the vet had told me. We have become friends due to this, and I do believe she is a good breeder. I believe this is what a good breeder should do, stand behind their litters, and help the puppies if they are any sick ones produced. I am sorry this was not the case with your little girl. Quote:

The entire purpose of the thread gets lost by the poor OP trying to explain what they meant or why they did what they did, while the attackers keep telling them what they really meant to say and why they really did what they did. If every one would just learn to read the words and not insert their own words into someone elses post, it would make YT a much friendlier place. Sorry to get off topic. I appologize to the OP. | |

| ![]() No, I do not believe that a vet would suggest putting them to sleep, HOWEVER, it is bothersome that she would write what she did and I am worried. I am worried because she mentioned before we had these issues that the breeder that had the mom to Brooklyn (She was a stud fee pup) got out of the business (her words not mine) and put most of the dogs down. She said she took some and that they were in bad shape. So, yes I do worry about animals being put down just because.... I was going to stay silent on this thead because I was afraid if I said anymore that I would jeopardize the animals she refered to but then I think staying silent could also jeopardize them. If she knows I posted this maybe she'll rethink what she wrote and not do what she threatened to do. I have been sick over it. Today, I had a migraine and hives from being so upset. I know it was said to cause just that "upsetness" and she got what she wanted. I was up all night. Elaine |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() I am glad Mia is feeling better. It's also good to hear the breeder will help you with your vet bills. I hope your story will help buyers and breeders to be more aware. Keep us updated on her.

| ![]() Mia, the past two days or so has been doing great. Eating and playing. Still has the cough and some sneezing, but otherwise seems like any other normal puppy now. No more listlessness or sleeping so much. However, today she woke up with gook coming out of her nose. Like a kid with a snotty nose and once again coughing last night. She has that gaggy thing going on like we do when we have the nasal drip. I called the vet this morning, because she's now done with the antibiiotics and ear meds. Ears seem good now. The antibiots if you total it all up including when she was with Susan has been about 20 days on them. Five days on Zithromax with Susan (As per her vet) and then ten days with Clavamox and otomax, and then the vet added an additional five days to both Clavamox and Otomax. I called him this morning and he wanted to run a swab test on her (About $200 or more for the test) to see what kind of organism he is dealing with. I said to him that Mia otherwised seemed fine other then the cough which he had told me may linger for weeks and now the snotty nose she woke up with. I asked if it were possible that maybe all the crap is just coming out of her now which would be a good thing. I told him that I didn't want to rack up another $200 bill on me or IF and I say IF the I ever get my money from the breeder as promised. He is going to recheck her on Thursday, but I'd like to ask the input of some of you older more experienced breeders. I know you have remedies that help with the congestion and snotty noses. I seems like maybe some sort of decongestant could be used? IDK. I'm just worried about her and want to see her get better. Is there anything that would be suggested that won't hurt her of course but may help her with this? I'm not cheap but I can't see racking another $200 in bills when she seems to be improving other the this snotty nose she now has. Thanks Elaine |
