| You said there was a hard bump where she is extended under her tail, and I saw the new pictures taken a couple hours ago.... I'm a little concerned that you don't have a puppy yet. In my own experience, once you see that bulge, it is only a matter of minutes before the full-on contractions and a puppy is expelled. Anyone else got ideas about this? If you use a glove (sterile) and a little lubricant, you can feel up inside there and see if you feel a puppy. The problem is they can get hung up going over the pelvic bone.... has there been any change since you posted those pictures?

| I'm a bit concerned too, but she didn't mention any hard contractions prior to the bulge......

When it is just a contraction or pressure bulge...it will disappear the moment you touch the bitch or disturb her. She was touching her and taking pics...and that bulge stayed firm. That had the earmark of a puppy trying to get down the birth canal. A quick vaginal would have answered that question right away. I hope all is ok.

| I'm hoping she is either busy delivering puppies or at the vet.

| Sometimes they work so hard getting the pup down, and if it gets hung up, they just run out of steam and quit contracting. If that is happening to her, you need to get her to a vet. They can give a shot to help the contractions start again -- or you may have to have a c-section if she can't do it herself. If you feel a squishy water sack, be sure you don't break it. As long as there is no bloody discharge and the sack isn't broken, the puppy may still be attached and okay. But I wouldn't wait to get to a vet... Sorry, don't mean to upset you -- just very concerned at this point.

| I'll post in the breeder's section to see if there is anyone up that can help you through this -- I'd like it to be someone more experienced than I am if possible. Hang on....

| Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I would get the phone book out and start calling around. Alot of places are not open but they have someone on call 24 hours that can talk to you and go in if they think it is needed. Did you do the exam?

| Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I sent you a pm with my number if you need to talk. If you don't have long distance I will call you if you would like. I have only had 4 litters of yorkies and don't know all the answers to everything but thought I would offer.
