| Either her vet is very clueless or perhaps she hasn't been seen lately. I don't know anything about breeding but from what you ladies are saying about the picture, Thursday seems like WAY to far away for a C section. Wouldn't a reasonable vet take an x-ray if she's been going so often and " in labor"? |

				 | Every girl is different. All is dependent on how many pups she's carrying, their growth while in utero and how well the mother ate during her gestation. There is no law or chart as to how much a girl should gain. Although, you don't want her getting to fat as that can create problems during the whelp too.

				 | Wouldn't hurt....we are all just concerned. If something has gone wrong (crossing fingers this is not the case), then maybe it would be nice for her to have someone to talk with for a bit. Hopefully she is just busy with new puppies. |

These kind of situations need to be spoken about more often and let the outside world know of what CAN happen when breeding! Too many people attempt to do this, I know she wasn't doing it on purpose but this is why it is important to know when your dog goes into a heat cycle and get them fixed, especially if you are leaving them with another unfixed dog. I pray this dog will be okay and her babies. I would really get at my friend for $$ after she is back from her vacation. She is responsible!

I definitely agree with you 100% and I would of never left my female unspayed with another unfixed male. But I was not trying to judge too much and I do feel the friend is responsible at least some what.
