				 |    Whohoooo -- sounds like puppy day to me! Sending you all our good wishes for a speedy and healthy whelp. I'm so glad you are in touch with your vet regularly -- should make you feel much better to know help is very close at hand. Glad you put her in a play pen too. Now you can keep close watch on her and she can still move around as she needs to. Post when you can.

				 |    When whelp time is upon you temp should be in the 98 to 99 degree range.  Anthing below 97 is dangerous....check her gums make sure they are pink and not sticky or cold.

				 |    It could be that your thermometer is off also.   I had read that often thermometers can be faulty.    Do you have more than one thermometer that you can use?   Also if your female has low blood sugar that can make her temperature run lower.    Has she been eating okay?  |

				 |    Good call, Barbara, I'd bet its the thermometer also.  What was her temp at the vets when you were there?

				 |    Well, that is low -- but if your vet has looked at her and you trust him, and she seems to be doing okay --  it must not be too low. Hmmm. Still sending good wishes your way.

				 |  ???????  for the past hour she has been staring off into space....and definately digging around and staring at her bottom. so now im sitting on the floor next to her typing and watching...she doesnt want me to leave. but she's not making any noises, no panting, just little grunts here and there  |
