As far as the yorkies being mixed with another breed????? some people may have done that but the white gene is still in the yorkies. I have a friend who had bought traditional yorkies that came from another country and ended up with a white yorkie puppy. mmmmmm now what??

DNA testing was done on Dad, Mom and all 7 pups before they were registered.

I'm curious, do you know about when this came up with Hylan, the AKC and DNA testing? I'm wondering bc about 3 yrs ago, I was gong to get a female yorkie from Ann, had already put down my deposit. Just a couple of weeks before I was to pick her up, Ann notified me that she would not be able to provide AKC papers for the girl bc AKC had suspended her due to an investigation. I was never really clear exactly what the investigation was about, except that it concerned a friend of Ann's being responsible for the mix-up (Ann's words), and Maltese that didn't DNA properly. Even though it had nothing to do with her yorkies, she could not register AKC until after every thing was cleared up. I have to say I respect Ann, bc she was honest with me and did return my deposit.

I do wonder though if the parti pup incident took place more recently? For a YTCA breeder there seems to be some re-occurring problems for her with AKC

I do know this litter was born 2-25-2007 which would have been a little over 3 years ago.
The pups DNA'ed correctly to the mom Hylan's Darling Diva and the dad CH Hylan Acres Ridin' The Storm where was no mix up to one of Ann's Maltese.
Otherwise AKC would not have registered the litter.

No, I didn't mean to imply this invloved Ann's yorkies and maltese in a mix-up, they were two different situations. My point was more to the aspect of her being a YTCA breeder and so much controversy with AKC. I haven't heard of many YTCA breeders having such AKC problems and wonder is it bc I haven't heard or it's rare?

You are exactly right! If they had a puppy in a litter which did not meet the standard as far as color, we would never hear about it! If they had a liver shunt puppy we would not hear about it! After all every member of the ytca only breed adults who are of show quality and are all health tested. My mentors did no health testing and I do not believe they did acid bile levels either and they are members of the ytca.
