| Parti Color? YTCA? I do have a question and believe this is the place to post it. The Hylan Acre line is known for producing parti color, right? Is it being sold straight from them or by others? I am very curious to know. I have another question concerning ytca members. I have seen quite a few ytca members post puppies and adults for sale on puppyfind and some have been sold to what I would refer to as some byb on open papers. Why has this not been brought up and why are they still members of the ytca? |

Whatever other YTCA members do, I cannot control. Yes, there are is a percentage that do business with BYBers, is it right, no. However, if the dog is sold with a contract they are not going against the code of conduct. These people do not represent the majority of the membership.

I don't know who sells on puppyfind.com because I don't go there to look at pups or sell pups there. I can only answer to what I do as an ethical and responsible breeder and I honestly only deal with certain people within the yorkie breed. I can't tell anyone what to do in their breeding program in the end it's those people who do wrong will have to live with themselves. I just try and educate the right way and do things the right way and if one chooses not to do it the right way or listen there really isn't anything I can do. I just won't recommend or have any dealings with them and when asked I have my say but to be honest I don't put anything into writting on a public forum to be held against me at a later time...BTDT! BUT, I do say how I feel and what I think and stand behind it! Like it or not I do know that I can live with the choices I make and sleep at night. Donna

| I felt these are questions which need addressed. Members of the ytca who are also members of this forum represent the ytca. All members of the ytca vote as to the standard for the yorkie, when there are some who go against the standard or sell their dogs to anyone! I believe these to be huge issues within the ytca, which their reputable members should look into. I have every right to ask these questions. I have never stated Mardelin or Brooklyn was responsible for the bad breeders who are members of the ytca, but as members of the club these should be concerns. I have no reason to not believe Mardelin and Brooklyn are very ethical members of the ytca, my concern is with the members who are not. |

Each individual member should behave in a manner that represents the club. Again I can only be responsible for myself and who I do business with. Just as an explaination on how things are run. Unless a member committs a personal infraction on another member that goes against the code of ethics/conduct; nothing can be done, unless they are in direct violation of AKC rules. In other words, it has to be proven and documented thoroughly.

| Of course it's a concern if members aren't adhereing to the standard and code of conduct and ethics! When something comes to light I do believe it is addressed with the club. The YTCA does have a few hundred members and with me being only a member for about 3 years I still do not know many of the members. I do know a lot of members no longer breed or show but have continued to be members. I know you have never stated me and Mardelin as anything other than members of YT and YTCA but please take no offense you seem to try and go at us. Maybe i'm wrong...You do ask good questions but unfortunately I do not know what Hylan Acres produce other than the standard color yorkies that I've seen her show in the ring. I've never purchased from her or seen her place. Like I said, I only deal with certain breeder/exhibitors. Like in the other thread, you have to have "rock solid" proof before you present any accusations to the board. One has to see first hand what is being done. Me for instance has to know first hand and not just because someone told me about it. Donna |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Does Hylan Acres sell parti yorkies? I'm not aware that she does or that they are in her lines. If a YTCA breeder is accused of not following the code of conduct, and the allegation (s) are proven, I would hope the breeder wouldn't be allowed club membership. You ask why this has not been brought up, how do we know it has not. Perhaps the YTCA is aware and taking action that we are not aware of. If you have specific information have you contacted anyone within YTCA to report this, specifically a board member? I think it's a bit unfair to insist that all members have knowledge of every other members practices and what is being done about them.

| It doesn't say in our code of conduct or code of ethics that one can't place a puppy on puppyfind.com as long as you place that pup on a spay and neuter contract ect...I just hope all can do the right thing that's all I want for this precious breed! Again, I can only do what I can do to try and educate anyone. Donna |

It is not as easy to go against a member of the ytca. You do not hear people stating if they have been mislead by a purchase from a ytca member for a reason. I have owned three yorkies from ytca members and all three are altered and have never been bred, because of health issues, conformations or their personalities. I owned one yorkie who was afraid of people and crawled on my floor. It was very heartbreaking. I have another one with so many health issues the last place he/she should of been sold to was a breeder on open papers. I do know there is good and bad in every walk of life.

The YTCA is no different than any other club that has bad apples and I believe every club wishes all were ethical but only in a perfect world. If one can change at least a couple of people in a breeding/exhibiting program then that is a step in the right direction.

| Hylan is a show breeder and no I do not believe they raises Parti’s. Now mine you this is the story I heard . A person had a Parti pup pop up from Hylan lines she contacted Hylan about it and was told to put the pup down. The person refused to destroy the pup. I do know that Ch Hylan Ridin the Storm (who runs strong Hylan and Tiffany lines) and Hylan Darling Diva (who runs strong Durrner lines) produced a Parti carrier named Hylan Diva’s Dannilyn Has it all. Just an FYI to the OP. There is nothing in the conduct/ethics that says members can't advertise on puppyfind. Do they, I like Donna have never been there, so I don't know. What it does say is the potential buyers will be screened thoroughly and all sales will be with a clear concise contract. Now if Hylan Acres has produced a parti, I hope that she does what is an unwritten rule. Place it as a pet.
