As for anyone defending me, I don't need that at. all. I have survived a long time being who I am. I don't sneak around .. I say it like it is. Period. If a person is harming an animal, I will not turn my head or bury it in the sand. That's just me and who I am. As for the comments about gossip....we all know about YT gossip.

Can you possibly put yourself in my position? I don't think you really understand the betrayal I felt when RC changed the ingredients without any notification. I love these two dogs, as much as anything and want to do what's absolutely best for them. I mean I’ll settle on a good healthy diet, it doesn’t have to be the best in the world, but it has to be what I’d call good using what I believe to be quality ingredients. I have literally studied nutrition for 54 years, starting with an 8th grade experiment, where the teacher made me take three rats and feed them three types of diets. Nutrition is indeed a complex field, and a company has every right to make as much profit as the can. I'm not saying that these new ingredients will kill your dog, but when a member posted the new ingredients I about flipped, and yes, I felt like the company had betrayed me. There was no warning; don't you understand why this could upset someone who chose the diet for the ingredients? It was a horrible feeling, I wondered how long I had been feeding this, as it is what I believe to be substandard food, I have no idea when the food actually changed, and that gives me no confidence in the company. So yes, I feel like they cheated on me. You may not agree with me, since reading the ingredients is not your thing, but surely, you can understand if it is a person’s thing, why a person would be upset. I do think I can read a list of ingredients and get a small picture of how nutritious something is, I do it with recipes all the time, if I don't know a lot about a certain ingredient, I can research it from more than one source, and I look for independent sources. I disagree that I think a marketing representative, from a company is going to give us good information. She’s not going to tell us any cons in the product, it’s only one side of information only, and her job is to reassure, reassure reassure. Unfortunately, many of the members don't know enough about nutrition to understand why the answers are rubbish, but when asked why the change from chicken meal to chicken-by product meal and the answer is something like “we make a lot of dog food and can’t get enough chicken meal and chicken by-products are just as expensive, at least the gizzards are," and people are satisfied and they think that is a good informative answer, well, I just don’t know what to say. How anyone can think that's a good answer is beyond me.

| Nancy, I am thrilled to see the spider costume in your avitar! I have always adored that video and have shown it to everyone...my brother even called me last month when that dog was running around in a subway or someplace, dressed in a spider costume and people were falling all over themselves trying to get away!! He wanted to know if that was possibly you and your baby!!! I had ordered Crickette a spider constume but it was too large for her and didnt get here until the day before Halloween....so I promised her we would fix it up for next year....and then I lost my little Crickette later the next year..... I love seeing this video of yours! Thank you for using it as your avitar! Last edited by Yorkiemom1; 10-24-2014 at 03:29 PM. |

| [B]I do have a challenge for you: What would this ingredient deck represent? (I'm only giving you ingredients here) Steel, cast iron, fibreglass, aluminum, rubber, plastic, glass, leather...[B] I feel like if I were cool enough I could get the crude protein of each item as well as other values that could be applied to a nutrient profile and find the mean of the cooperative items and have it look like an appropriate nutrient profile for a dog food which would be a great illustration of the value of digest ability and amino acid profiles vs the bare bones analysis of a list of ingredients. I look forward to finding out the answer to the riddle as well.
