| In a healthy pup just on heartworm and flea meds, plain Benadryl is absolutely fine to give for stings and allergies. It is 1mg per lb. It just has to be diphenhydramine only. Vets don't get a lot of sincere thank yous and they do appreciate them.

Thanks, Crystal. You are awesome in cases like this. I probably should have put this in Emergencies but was not even thinking straight. You were a huge help!!! Jackson thanks you for it! You think he'll be extra hungry in the morning? He doesn't usually eat breakfast but since basically all the food he ate is out of him, I think I'll give him a good breakfast. Is there some sort of a time period you have to wait to feed after giving hyodrogen peroxide?

| Wow Brit, I just read all this, how scary for you! I'm so glad you got Jackson to barf it out. I know you did not need the extra stress. I know it will be hard for you to sleep tonight. Give Jackson some of those rare scrambled eggs in the morning!

| Omg! Do you think hydogen peroxide kind of just upset his stomach? He is just sitting at my gate whining, won't go to sleep!! Grrrr. He has his food/water bowl in here, I took him outside, he did all business, he does not seem to be in pain, or anything. I am just wondering if the whole ordeal made him act funky?

| He has a tendency to get anxiety in weird situations. Sometimes even the littlest things weird him out. He just does NOT want to b in my room right now. But I also don't wanna let him out of it... I feel terrible

| Brit, did he ever go to sleep? I think he'll be ok. Maybe he just got a little freaked out by all the events that transpired today. I'm sure he also sees his usually very calm and collected mommy not so calm!

| Thanks guys! I ended up just opening my gate and he slept on the couch out in the other room. He just did not want to be in the bed/bedroom last night! I did not give him any of the medicine in my room so it's not that... Otherwise, he seems normal to me. Just did our usual morning potty walk, he's always a bit slow moving in the morning. I am sure last night he sensed my anxiety and fear. He has a mobile grooming appt. set up today at 1:30 and I already canceled on her last week, but I am unsure if I wanna get him groomed today now.... I feel terrible, I don't want him to hate me anymore, LOL! Would you do it? I mean, he is acting okay, so I probably should just stick with it. My dads dog Buddy will also be getting groomed and I'll be going over to his house, which he loves, so maybe it will make him happier. Maybe I am humanizing his feelings too much, LOL. But I don't know. Thanks for all the well wishes and help!

| I am very, very happy to hear that Jackson is doing well this morning. Going to your dad's house should make up for the grooming session.

♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | Lexi has allergic reaction to bees. So I keep children's Benadryl liquid form on hand. Also if stung she has to go for shots. This has happened twice in two years. Very scary glad Jackson is doing better today. It happens so darn fast.....
