| So, so very, very MAD!!! I took Jinju to a new groomer today for a haircut. I was VERY SPECIFIC in what I wanted. I let her know "absolutely NO CUTTING" anything around or on her face. When I picked her up, she had a bald spot inder her eyes. I asked the groomer how she got her eye crusties out. She replied "I scissored them out". Of course, she still looks adorable, but that bald spot on her cute face is just p#ssing the heck outta me! You can actually see skin there. I'm just wondering if they hurt her. What part of "Please leave her face and head as is" did she not get? I will call and let them know I am unsatisfied tomorrow morning. But is there any point in doing that? I don't EVER plan to take her back there, so whether they tell me they can fix it or whatever won't really matter... I paid them to give me what I wanted, though...What do you guys think I should do? |

| i am gonna call...not b/c I want a refund, but b/c I just looked and it looks like there is some dried blood where the hair was cut! I think the scissors might've slipped... All I would have expected was for them to say "Sorry, but there was a little accident. We snipped off a bit too much/Puppy was fidgeting/We made a mistake". I would totally have understood. She obviously saw the bald spot. I'm a pretty understanding person. I would have siad "It's okay. Thank you for letting me know". Jeepers, people these days need to remember that sometimes, honesty can really be the best policy. But anyhow, I will call tomorrow... |

| In their defense, it is kind of hard to go by what someone is telling you that they want. It probably would have best if you would have voiced your concern in person rather than later. Maybe next time it'd help if you brought in a picture. |

| How much more specific does she need to be? She said " I let her know "absolutely NO CUTTING" anything around or on her face. |

| I would definitely call or go back by and just let them know that you were very specific about not wanting any hair cut on or around her face and they trimmed the hair under her eyes and you are not happy with that. Obviously they can't fix it because you can't glue hair back on but they need to know that they did something you specifically asked them not to do and you aren't happy about it. I would have said something right when I picked her up but a day later is fine too - I just hate when people wait a week to complain. I definitely understand not wanting hair on the face trimmed because I have worked so hard to grow Lacy's hair out in between her eyes and would be LIVID if someone cut it again!

I have seen some yorkies come into the grooming shop with some really bad eye crusties, to the point the eyes were very sore underneath. Maybe she did what she had to, to get them out with out causing further damage. But then again I did not see the dog so I can not say. But one thing for sure she will have less eye crusties for a while.....I am not sure when people have only one pet yorkie that they would ever have a problem with eye crusties, but I have clients that bring their dogs in like that all the time. Poor little babies.

| OMG. I have never had an experience with Holly being hurt but the very first time I went they did cut her "visor" and that meant some of her top knot. I was a little upset but not too much. From then on I just stick around. I am not comfortable with her staying in the kennels there either. So that way I am there when they start and then I take her with me when they are done. She's seems to be really comfortable and I answer any questions the girls may have. I am so sorry this happened to you. There should be no reason why they didn't tell you about it if an accident did occur. Groomers are human and our babies sometimes do squirm and move a lot, so accidents are possible. I do think that you should have been told if this did happen.

| Thank you all for some great advice. Like I said, it's really not about the money nor the hair...Hair DOES GROW BACK. All I would've expected was an explanation, ya know??? It's just that b/c she is still a puppy, I know how fidgety she can be. And the idea of having a pair of scissors to her face kinda freaks me out. She now has a little scab on her face and I feel terrible. I REALLY did specify the no scissors by the face and head thing to them. The reason I didn;t say anything at the time was it didn't look AS bad til I got home. I lifted her moustache and they had cut all the way to there! And then I saw the dried blood too. Since I've already made the decision to not go back there, I will call them just to ask for an explanation... |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Take Pictures if you do go back - since you already left and paid you may not get a refund back but lots of times we don't see their mistakes till we get them home - but you can complain.... if anything - just to save the next guy from the same problem Write down a list if going to a groomer. I actually brought Photos with me and a detailed list of what I wanted done - but I do my own grooming because they never do get it like I want it - and in lots of cases - you can do just as good a job your own self especially the basics - |

for you not them Joking aside - Sometimes it helps to take your time - only do a little in one sitting and for really REALLY wiggly dogs - wrap them in a towel like a mummy and see if you can do it with them on your lap - I do Cheri and Chanels ears that way - Cheri is a wiggler and I find if she can look right at me she seems more relaxed Another thing - if you can let them sniff the trimmers etc - turn them on and don't touch the dog - just to get them used to the noise - it really helps...
