| New threads that are intended to start problems Every so often they raise their ugly heads. There are those amoung us who want to start problems here on YT. They are not happy unless they have caused a thread to be closed. I encourage each and every one of you myself included to ignore those threads that they start and to ignore when them when they post nonsense. Maybe by positive reinforcement we can teach them to better behavior. It works on the dogs why not try on these adults. If we can all stick together and not fall into the trap we can go back to having lively and fun debates and discussions. It is fun to hear each members thoughts and ideas. What we do not need is the BS that some members keep passing our way and trying to monopolize the threads. Thank you so much |

| I agree these threads are usually for debate purposes on things that have been debated to abnausium.

| I guess I am too new here to know what you mean. Very rarely have I noticed that there are "problems" in the threads. Every now and then people get defensive or testy, and part of that is the fault of the written word. Our language of our bodies is a major part of the interpretation of our words. You cannot really tell what a person is thinking while writing because there is no way to read their body language. Therefore it is a lot easier to have "misunderstandings". For the most part, if there is a thread I do not agree with or it seems to be a hot button issue I prefer not to be drawn into, as you suggested, I simply do not respond. Overall I find that there are many people here who are much more experienced in yorkie care and management than I. I do not take their word as law, however, and will research on my own after taking the info into consideration. I may be sticking my neck out here, but it appears to me that you have been offended by a thread or threads written by certain people, and I am sorry that happened to you. When you see a thread authored by these persons, you should probably just not go there. I see by your number of postings that you know there is a lot of fun and interesting info here, and you will probably find lots that you can still enjoy. Keep looking!

| I for one couldnt agree more that there are a couple specific members here that start threads just to create havoc or draw attention to their otherwise boring life.

| I understand what you are saying and I agree. I just wish there was a way we could discuss legitimate breeding concerns on YT without it getting crazy. When I was looking for a pet I read all the do's and don'ts and I ran into stuff that I never even thought about. A lot of people visit this board when they are looking for a pup and I wish we could provide some quick insight into the real world of finding a pet. Seems like it would be a good service for this board to provide. |

But in this woman's heart, there was no convincing her that her breeding practices were cruel (which is what I saw it as = cruel and mean and practically a puppy mill). But she loved dogs, umm, a little too much, and failed to see her "dog hoarding" as cruel. There are plenty of great breeders on this forum and dog-owners in general. I can honestly say I have met some of the most respectable, honest trustworthy people, and breeders, here on this site and I'd vouch for you guys in front of anyone!!! BUT this is the internet and all opinions are represented. I know this particular breeder I am speaking of (above) doesn't have a computer, but if she did and got on here, she could be any one of these members.] Some topics, really, we should "choose our battles" before we "go there" - sometimes there isn't one single right answer to an already touchy subject.

| Amen...but if I see the pettiness coming, I just log off. I really value my time and choose to spend it wisely.

| OH!! im so sorry you all for causing controversy!! HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE On serious note..I am still sorts new and sometimes take the bait also. I must say most of the time has been great on here. I have found however within the past month or so alot of people have gotten very hostile and judgemental. I personally cannot sit here and have somebody actually defend something thats stupid and ignorant and not say anything. I AM NOT TRYING TO START ANYTHING. Just giving my Opinion and how I feel. I sometimes should just shut my mouth but i dont but i feel better and for those that have got to know me im just kinda here clowing around until somebody comes and makes a very underserved rude remark. Thank You! and again ill try to behave!! |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | I'll be the first to admit that I haven't been staying out of these threads. I didn't start out that way, when I first joined, and use to just read the heated debates and not post to them. After a while, I got tired of reading the same crap from a few members giving wrong or dangerous information and I had had enough. Should I have just walked away, yes, but I got into my comfort zone. You can ask any member that's been here a while and they'll tell you that I speak my mind. Kathy, I will try my best to ignore those threads...I'm also asuming that you are talking about my breeder poll being one of those. How many threads have I started in the interest of arguement? Only a couple out of over 4,000. I did not feel that my breeder poll was to cause another argument but to in fact get feedback from people on how their vets handled the question.

| I have to go on the site with a quick read mindset because there is a ton of info and if I miss a few days, well, there's really no going back. As a result, although I think I understand what is being said about people causing negative discussion, I really do not know who it is or even if I have unknowingly added to a negative comment. So, if I ever do, please pm me so I will know about it because I certainly do not want to be that way. This site has given me so much info and respect for most who post, often I don't respond because I don't feel I could add anything else. I sure don't want it to become a debate place either. I'll try to pay close attention and if I think it isn't appropriate, not respond to it. Thanks for the post. |
