I visited with a friend, a few months ago, a lady's house who bread multiple breeds of dogs. All small breeds. She had dogs EVERYWHERE (all outside) Not for love really, just for breeding.
But in this woman's heart, there was no convincing her that her breeding practices were cruel (which is what I saw it as = cruel and mean and practically a puppy mill). But she loved dogs, umm, a little too much, and failed to see her "dog hoarding" as cruel.
There are plenty of great breeders on this forum and dog-owners in general. I can honestly say I have met some of the most respectable, honest trustworthy people, and breeders, here on this site and I'd vouch for you guys in front of anyone!!!
BUT this is the internet and all opinions are represented. I know this particular breeder I am speaking of (above) doesn't have a computer, but if she did and got on here, she could be any one of these members.]
Some topics, really, we should "choose our battles" before we "go there" - sometimes there isn't one single right answer to an already touchy subject.
