| Dedicated to Dixie Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent, the eager body quivers. Suddenly she begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, her legs carrying her faster and faster. YOU have been spotted and when you and your special friend finally meet you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress her beloved head and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you pass over Rainbow Bridge together....

| I'm sorry to hear the sad news of your loss. I have had a few litters and I've took care of plenty of yorkies at once. My question is why did she not have a good hold on this little one as a breeder she should have knew this. Like the ladies said you do have to hold on these little guys or they will be out of your arms in a heartbeat. Why was she carrying it in her hands and not in a small dog carrier? I always put mine in the carrier first so these things don't happen. I think (as a breeder)is needs to pay for what it cost for the little to be brought back to you to decide what you want to do.AND she should either GIVE you a pup or the money you had to pay her for the pup. I know accdient happens BUT she should have been more careful!!! sorry so long. I hope god will touch your heart. |

| Another thing-I am sorry, I have been so upset that it is all kind of coming back to me now. When she called me and told me, she was upset. She told me, then I yelled at her and hung up on her. I was truly just really devastated of course. Then she told me that the car kept going. I am just kind of wondering why she didn't call the police. Sure, the police could do very little. However, if this happened to me, I would of called the police immediately. Someone hit my dog and kept going. I would be so upset that I would call them out of panic if nothing else. I don't really want to ask her about all this because it doesn't bring dixie back. So, it is pointless. But I do wonder what really happened. I am not 100% sure I believe her. I hate to say that, but I don't. We had some other small (very minor) issues with her before. (not pertaining to the safety of our dog though.) I could of easily had my neighbors let Dixie out while we were gone. But I trusted her more than my neighbors. More than my friends. |

I didn't have a collar on Dixie, nor a harness. She was only 3 lbs, so she could slip out of mostly everything I put on her. HOWEVER, I did provide a carrier for Dixie. She had a pink carrier that she slept in and travelled in. | |
