Teething Question...Please help! Hello All! Nala is 6 months old and has already lost her front teeth and the adult teeth are in but today I noticed she was acting funny. She kept chewing on the side of her mouth and she was choking and drooling. When I looked inside of her mouth I see some blood on her gums. IS this the normal symptoms of loosing teeth, b/c this didn't happen w/ the front teeth so I am worried it may be something else. She loves to eat anything she finds so I hope it's nothing more serious! Any help would be appreciated! THANKS!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I'm pretty sure that's normal - my Chanel did that when she lost her baby teeth - that's GOOD and maybe your yorkie won't retain any ...Chanel didn't and has a perfect bite....my other girl - Cheri had to get 4 pulled but - I am no expert and your vet can tell you what's going on - it's always good to read help here... but Always check with your vet. |

Thanks! I called the vet and they didn't sound worried by the behavior so I guess I'll hold off on taking her in and hope it gets better!

I think it's normal. Bambie did the same thing when she lost her teeth's.. She was bleeding a lot. She also had 10 teeth's pulled she's a show dog and the bite is very important. Now she's perrrrrrrfect Good luck with your dog, and collect the little teeth's and you can put them in her photoalbum

When Misha was losing her teeth she did this also. I used check her teeth everday for loose ones. We have quite a few in a jar that we were able to save.

When Hobbs lost his back teeth, his gums would bleed a little. I don't think it is anything to be alarmed about. Hope she is alright!
