YT Addict | The battle of the clostridium Poor Tinky has had a rough few days. Friday we had the worst diarrhea I have seen, so we went to our vet Saturday morning. (Didn't have an appointment, but they ALWAYS fit Tinky in, thank God). Her vet said she has the clostridium "everywhere" which is what I was thinking. She said it may be weather related as well. Poop is looking better, but she is still not 100%. Last night I noticed she wasn't feeling good, and I felt her belly and it was very hard. This has happened in the past, but will go away eventually. I looked online, and found to put a warm compress on their belly to help relax the muscles. So I laid princess Tink on her belly, and filled a sock with rice and put in in the microwave for a bit. A little later (with the sock on her belly still) , I could *tell*(whewww!!!) she relieved herself, and her tummy went back to normal. (My boyfriend asked what I was doing, my response was "Farting Tinky..." hehehe) So, if you are dealing with a gassy baby, you may want to try, because it helped a lot. She didn't mind either So, we will continue with our meds and hopefully kick this nasty bacteria out, so my little girl can get back to being a little terrorizer. |

YT Addict | Miss Tink has been doing well. We kicked our bacteria and she's been a happy little girl. One thing we have noticed is that it appears Tink is developing arthritis. Her back and legs pop a lot now. It seems to have started suddenly. We took her to the vet for a look over and her reaction was "And she doesn't seem to be in pain?" like she was surprised that Tinky hasn't been acting in pain, which worries me . I thought it was the Prednisone causing it, but she said the Pred could actually help, since it's an anti inflammatory. I'm really trying to stay positive. Given what this little girl has went through, I hate for her to have to deal with any type of pain. My vet said to watch out for any type of visible pain, or if she cannot walk properly. I'm just going to hope and pray that it doesn't get worse. I did find a really helpful thread: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/die...arthritis.html I'm thinking about having Tinky do some acupuncture, which my vet does. But, we hope you all have a Merry Christmas, tomorrow is my last day of work until Jan. 4th, so that means.... TINKY TIME!!! |

| I'm very happy to hear Tink is doing well overall...hope the acupuncture helps with any arthritis issues she may have. Our babies are getting older and every single thing we notice that's now quite right worries us. Winston will be 12 years old in February and I thank God everyday that he stays well. We've had our moments...but he's doing a-ok for now. Merry Christmas to you and Tink and hope for a vary happy 2016. PS: Enjoy your "Tink time"!!!

YT Addict | Well Miss Tink had a great Christmas break, I was able to spend 1.5 weeks off with baby girl. I have noticed that I think age is catching up with Tinky... she is now 12. I'm wondering if she cannot hear very well, or is becoming disoriented. When I come home, I was always greeted by Tinky. Now, I've noticed she doesn't realize once I'm inside. We have a large window at the front of the house she looks out of, but I noticed she doesn't stop looking out the window once I am inside. I have to pull back the curtain and make sure she actually sees me. I think I see confusion in her eyes sometimes... does that even make sense? I'm going to make an appointment with her vet to discuss. Last night was strange for us. Tinky was staggering, and twitchy. It wasn't low blood sugar because she had just eaten. She did vomit, then took a nap and everything was fine. I know in the past she has shaken/trembled when her tummy was really tight and gassy - and her walk was off. For the most part, I'm taking in every minute with her. It has been over a year since her diagnosis, and in my mind, she has been a warrior, given her disease. It is just sad because now I am starting to notice her age... and how it affects her. But, as long as Tinky is a happy little girl, that's all that matters - and I try my hardest to make her the happiest, most comfortable little girl. Thank you all for your Tink thoughts and prayers. |

| Tink has certainly been a little trooper, bless her heart! Winston will be 12 years old next month, he continues to try to prove to me that he 's still a puppy and sometimes his antics are quite convincing. lol I will hope and pray 2016 is kind to you and your baby, may she be happy, comfy and continue to give much love. Always in my prayers...

YT Addict | I forgot to post Tinks Christmas pic - she got to hang out with my moms poodle,Wesley - who absolutely loves when Tink bosses him around. She makes sure she is "taller" than him by getting up on furniture 😊❤️ |
