Thank you so much, your message means so much. I feel like I'm not doing enough for her, but it's reassurance like this that make me feel better.

Her vet just called - her sugar stayed in about the 60s until around 4 where it dipped down to 38 so they drew her blood and gave her food (which they said she QUITE enjoyed, lol - happy Tink with her chicken ). I'm thinking her sugar starts dipping when the Prednisone starts wearing off (she gets 5mg at 7:30 am). I hate that it's so low. Where is my magic wand to get rid of this tumor, UGH.

I'm going to head to get her in a few minutes - I'm sure my little girl is going to be SO SO happy to go home and take a nice nap in her jumbo sized bean-bag.

I'm sure if there were a magic wand you'd be the first one using it...Hoping and praying Tink is now home and enjoying a relaxing evening snuggled with you. She's such a little trooper and you are an awesome furbutt mommy!!!

Maybe you could split her dose of prednisone and give it to her twice/day?

I was wondering this myself as well... I'm going to ask her specialist what they would think, but that seems like a really good option. I don't really want to increase to 5mg twice a day, I know its hard on their little bodies.

I just read this whole thread. I hope the latest test gives you promise that her little tummy issues can be taken care of. Your pictures are gorgeous! Tink is so cute and she has such a pretty little smile. I will add my prayers to the others that sweet little Tink will improve and live a peaceful, pain free life. You are one of the most loving, caring Yorkie mommy's I have seen. God Bless You and adorable little Tink.

...Tink's blood may be "lost in transit" - Texas A&M had still not received it, but my vet said they could possibly get it over the holiday weekend. If they do not receive it by this weekend, we will have to do another fasting for bloodwork (free of cost to me, thankfully) at least it is not a terrible thing for her to go through, just a little longer without eating and having "fun" at the vet for a day. Hopefully, they receive them this weekend so we don't have to do it over again and wait.

Oh darn, I was so hoping you knew something by now...maybe the sample will be found and you'll get your answer very soon. If not Tink gets another day of pampering at the vets, it sounds like she is well loved there. I'm anxious to hear the results and you both remain in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs to you guys!!!

Tink is good! Yesterday she had her blood drawn again for her test of Pancreatic Enzyme Insufficiency. They had to take her blood sooner in the day this time because her sugar dropped sooner than last time . But I really try not to focus on the numbers - but instead as long as she is a happy little girl. When I picked her up, they told me she "hung out" with them all day - in back of the checkout counter they have stairs with swinging doors that have about a 1-2 in gap underneath so Tinky "people watched" at the vet. She even got to "babysit" a litter of kittens - lol.
