| Looked at her pictures just now and she is just adorable and no doubt full of personality. It is just written all over her sweet little face!

| I do hope the oncologist will have some advise that will not only make her want to eat, but also keep her comfortable. Prednisone does raise glucose levels but may be causing her to bloat a little, which of course makes her uncomfortable. I hope they can come up with something else... Winston will also be 11 in February, what a coincidence. So many similarities in the two of them. I don't know what happened with my boy...but he's doing fine, thank goodness. I'm still holding out for a miracle, some good news for your Tink as well. If there is anything at all I can do to help, even if it's just someone to talk to...I'm here for you. Keep the faith, stay positive and love her with all your heart...she loves you and will seek guidance from you. My heart breaks for you, it could have very well have been me. I know how scared and helpless you must be feeling. Hugs to you, kisses to Tink!!! |

| YT Addict | Hello, I am supposed to receive a call from the specialist today (who did her bloodwork and ultrasound) regarding her not eating. She just seems so sleepy, and I hate having to wake her up, and syringe feed her. But, I know that I have to in order to keep her healthy. My mom came over yesterday to take her blood sugar (in the 80s - good!), and started crying. Tink was so tired she was just nodding off on on, when she is usually so excited to see "Grammy". Mom just kept saying, "She's not in pain, she's just really sleepy" - she has been the voice of reason for me. My boyfriend has been with me since Tink was a puppy. I think he assumed the blood work would show us something completely different, and curable. This was a very hard weekend for us. It would be different if she was up and about, and eating, but it's very hard to see her not herself. I asked my mom, "What if she doesn't want to eat anymore, and she is trying to tell me something?" I suppose we will have a better answer tomorrow after the appointment with the oncologist. It's been Saturday at 6:00am since she has wanted to eat on her own. I feel awful, I know she just wants me to leave her alone to rest, and I don't want her last memories of me being force feeding her when she's not hungry and just wants to rest. I'm really struggling. I feel like she was acting much better before the medication, but her blood sugar cannot stabilize itself. This all just happened so fast, and I'm not prepared. I'm trying to tell myself I should be thankful for the years we have had together, not everyone gets to see their pet turn 10. I just want a sign. I just want her to be comfortable and happy. |

| YT Addict | Thank you. I called my vet this morning and they said she should be seen since she is not eating, drinking, or pooping, so I just got back from dropping her off. She didn't act sick, tired, or anything - so I'm just really hoping they can figure out her tummy issue, and give her some stuff to start feeling better so she wants to eat. I will be SO relieved once she starts wanting to eat. Starting this evening, we are going back to 5mg of prednisone 2x a day. I wish we wouldn't have ever started the 10mg 2x a day on Saturday, as I feel that is the reason she is not wanting to eat, and not feeling like herself. But, I listened to the specialist... I hope my vet can get her belly to feeling better today, that would make such a difference! Thank you all for your thoughts, my goal is to make her happy and comfortable, I absolutely hate seeing her not being her self. |

| My boy Biscuit (not a Yorkie) who has Lymphoma is on Prednisone and pain meds. I think the Pred is making him very anxious as I notice a big difference in him when I give it in the evenings. I have a call into my Oncologist and am waiting to hear back on what I can do to keep him calm. Last night was a really rough night for us. I stayed up with him all night. I am worried sick but like you am just trying to keep him comfortable right now. I will keep you and Tink in my thoughts and prayers and I am just hoping that your Oncologist can do something for her to get her back to her old self. I will be glad to give you my phone number if you need to talk to someone. I will check back periodically. Again sending good thoughts and prayers your way!

| YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Okay if you don't have an appetite stimulant ask your vet for one. Is she on a restricted diet of some nature? Is there any fresh food you can cook for her that she is allowed that might entice her to eat? When my Zoey had lymphoma, I would entice her with real salmon, beef chicken, steak, anything at all. I would hand feed her My heart goes out to you in your anguish. Gentle healing (((( hugs to you and Tink}}}

| YT Addict | Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. I'm going to go pick her up at the vet after work, I called to check in and they said her tummy "was what they thought it was and she has been treated". I just PRAY she will want to eat for me this evening, that would be a Godsend. And, I'm hopeful since we are decreasing her prednisone back to 5mg, we will not have this issue again. It stinks, because before the increase in meds she seemed so much better... I feel guilty I am just really really hoping she is all perked up and ready to eat when we get home this evening. And I hope the appointment with the oncologist tomorrow will show us the best medications for her. This disease is so unclear... ![]() Thank you & love from Tink |

| YT Addict | Things were so much better last night. Thanks for asking ![]() When we got home from the vet she ate, and ate every 4 hours. The vet said she had a type of bacteria in her belly, the causes are vague, but I really think the high dose of Prednisone is what caused it... 20mg a day for a 8.5 lb yorkie seems really high. We're back on 5mg 2x a day, and we have our appointment with the oncologist this evening. I just feel so much better when I can tell she is comfortable. This weekend was really hard. We received the diagnosis Friday evening, then Saturday morning she stopped eating, and we could tell she was uncomfortable, into Sunday. I have decided I am just going to enjoy these days, who knows, maybe we caught this early and she has 2-3 years left. I'm just praying she is comfortable and happy as long as possible. Thank you for checking in, this site has been a Godsend to me. Much love from Tink |

| There you go...that's the spirit! In December 2011 one of my pups was diagnosed with lymphangectasia. I agonized at the beginning and thought that I would be lucky if I just had Christmas with her. I am happy to say that she is still with me and doing well. I love that ad for the Cancer Treatment Center that says we don't have an expiration date stamped on our foot....and our pups don't have them on their paws either! Have a wonderful day with Tink!!
