I wanted to give a Tink update. Things are not so well at the moment. Monday we had a bout with Pancreatitis, which had been awhile since we've had issue with. She spent half the day at the vet getting meds, and was very lethargic that evening. In the past no matter how bad she's felt, she's always excited when we head home in the car, even after her dental cleaning. But she just looked awful when I picked her up, and just curled up in my lap on the way home .
She finally started wanting to eat later that evening, but only cottage cheese and a little chicken. At this point, I'm just happy if she eats anything. I stayed home from work yesterday with her, and she seemed to be improving, and got her rest. Early this morning she started not feeling so well again - and didn't show interest in any food for awhile. I finally got her to eat a bit of cottage cheese and chicken, which is good. I hope when I go home she hasn't vomited, or else I will have to take her back to the vet. It's been a very hard few days, it's very difficult for me to watch her be uncomfortable. I hope when I go home for lunch she is feeling better - I know that she doesn't want to have to go back to the vet...
Please keep miss Tink if your prayers.

I am sorry to read that Tink isn't feeling well. I pray she starts to perk up.

Prayers continue for her.

Thank you for your thoughts. When I went home for lunch, Tink grabbed a toy and carried it around, yay! Little things like this mean a lot to me, because I know she's starting to feel better. I actually got her to eat her canned dog food, she has been picky only wanting cottage cheese and chicken - so this was an improvement as well. It's when she's picky about her food is when I worry.
I think she may just still be getting over the issue and it may take a few days, we're on antibiotics again, so hopefully that will get rid of all the symptoms.
We're just taking it one day at a time, thank you for your thoughts and prayers for Miss Tink.

I am glad she wanted to play. This must be so stressful for you I know it hurts so much when we cannot help them when they are feeling bad. Prayers for Tink.

Thank you so much - she is doing better, seems to have her full appetite back.

Now one thing that is a bit of a concern to me... is that she is starting to be a bit more incontinent, peeing It has happened a few times before, but it was after she would take her Prednisone and I have read it is very common since it increases urination. However, yesterday it happened twice, much later in the day. When I came home from work, I noticed her side wet, and felt her bed and it was wet - and it happens when she is sleeping. But last night, I was laying on my back on the couch, and she jumped up to lay on my back. She laid for a few seconds, then got up and moved. I felt my shirt, and noticed it was wet, and her side was wet also. When she notices she is wet, she looks at me, kind of confused, or almost apologetic. (Don't be sorry, little Tink, you can pee on me all you want ) This is the first time it has happened when she was awake. It is almost like she can't tell when she needs to potty. I don't mind, I would clean up any accidents she has no issue, I'm just not sure if anyone else has encountered this problem. Besides that, she is a happy little girl

I've heard of the belly bands, I don't know if that's something I should consider.

Thank you all so much for thinking of Tink - she's such a special part of my life.

Also, we had our mini "photo shoot" a little bit ago, below is a link of the preview of her pics, I just love them.

Oh poor baby! We all know that she's not peeing on you or her bed on purpose. I would probably just pee proof your house and lap as much as you can but that's just me. I'd buy several cheap throws from Walmart and fold them several times and put them in her bed. Cover your furniture with something if you have too. Put a potty pad in your lap. She's just to precious to put a band on her but that's just my opinion because I know nothing about the belly bands. I would think that if she has to pee and the band stops her from doing that then you could do more damage or hurt her. IDK but I'm sure someone with belly band experience will come along and let you know for sure. When my Jasmine was so sick I let anyone planning to come to my house know about her condition and they all understood. She wasn't peeing in the house but she had a big hole in her jaw caused by the cancer that would leak occasionally and it smelled terrible no matter how much I cleaned it. I have great friends and family and no one ever shunned her or I would have told them to leave. You will find away around this without disturbing life as she knows it. Tink. you are now such a little sweet pee!

Oh I definitely don't want her to NOT pee - so Miss Tink can wee-wee all she needs to, everything is washable It may be attributed to her being a little under the weather too, so maybe it will blow over the next few days, she seems to be improving every day.
I'm sorry to hear Jasmine was so sick, but it is very obvious she was a precious little girl that was so loved. I wish our little ones never had to be in pain or discomfort in any way. Thank you for thinking of Miss Tink - she is the sunshine of my life

Oh, you can find pretty little panties for her! There is a gal on Etsy who I used to buy from when she was on Ebay...love her things and well made.
Here is a link to her shop:

You might want to mention the peeing issue to your vet, but yes, sometimes on pred they will do that. I know exactly how you feel...I could care less when I have a sick pup
and they can't help it...they could pee anywhere! I do get it!

Your photos are beautiful!!

I am happy to hear that Tink is doing better!

Continued prayers for you both. Thank you SO much for keeping us updated on your baby!

Thank you for the panty suggestion, at least if she needs them, she can be stylin'! I will definitely consider if the issue persists.
There was no issue when I went home for lunch today, so hopefully it was just an off day for her. She seems to have her appetite all back, so things are looking up!
Thank you for the picture comment, I'm really glad we did it, I'm going to cherish these pictures forever.
Thank you for thinking and praying for Miss Tink

Awesome...so glad she is having a better day!

Yes, those photos were a terrific idea! Everyone should take the time to do that. We never know when our time with our babies could be over and memories aer so important. I have lost pups in unexpected ways and looked back with regret about photos...so I try to take a lot.

You and Tink are in my daily prayers, always. Sad to hear that you two had a few rough days but I'm thrilled to hear things are much better now. Those pictures are gorgeous!!! So happy you had them done and thank you so much for sharing them with us. I have really no suggestions to offer regarding her issues with urination. I would be sure to say something to both your vet and the specialist...just in case there is some significance to her well being. Otherwise just keep doing what you're doing...she is obviously in good hands with your care. The love you share is amazing and it shows. Prayers, thoughts and hugs to you both. PS: You are both beautiful!!!

Thank you for the picture comment - I can't wait to see the rest.
I think she's doing good on the peeing issue, yesterday she had no accidents, and she seems to be feeling much better. But yes, if the issue persists I'm going to need to check it out with her specialist. She is back to eating all her yummies, and with gusto - barking at me for more - my demanding lovey little girl.

I'm looking forward to this weekend to spend and snuggle with my little girl, this was a very stressful week. I have a co-worker who had a boxer that had cancer issues, and we have been a support system for each other. Monday I received a message from her that he passed away over the weekend, and I took it very hard, and Monday was the day Tink began her issues with pancreatitis - so it was very difficult. The thing is, the day when Tink had her first episode that started her diagnosis - my co-worker was at the same vet with her pup for an emergency as well. So from then on, we would always check on each other and our pups. Her guy had a tumor removed 2 years ago, and they initially gave him 2 months to live. He lived for TWO more years, with little issues. She is quite a religious person, and she prayed for him constantly. When I spoke with her last week, she informed me he wasn't doing too well, so her and her husband prayed over him, telling if it was time for him to go to heaven, that was ok. She prayed and prayed she would not have to make the decision to put him to sleep, that he would simply pass away in his sleep instead, and that is exactly what happened. (I purchased a necklace that has a boxer on it, with little angel wings, with his name engraved on it, I can't wait for it to come in, I think she will love it)

I know not everyone is religious, but she started me on realizing that I needed to get back in with God. I always believed, but did not put much effort into it. My mom is quite religious as well, so we have quite a prayer-team going for Miss Tink
When Tink was first diagnosed, I did not know what to do. I lost 10 pounds within 2 weeks, and couldn't eat, sleep, or even really function - I literally felt like I was loosing my mind - she's been my BEST little friend since I was 16. So I bought the book "Biblical Proof Animal go To Heaven" - and it was a Godsend. After I read the book, I had faith that whatever happened, Tink would be looked after until I can meet her in Heaven. I had a very dear grandmother who passed away from cancer when I was 8, who absolutely loved animals, and had a farm with a bunch of dogs, even a yorkie named Teddy I am confident she will be the one who looks after Tink until I can meet her again. The day after I read the book, I was standing outside with Tink for her potty, and looked up into the sky, and had an OVERWHELMING sense of peace.

Sorry for the long, deflective email, just thought I would share a little bit. I pray for her all the time.

Thank you for thinking and praying for Tink. Tink says hello to little Winston
