| ![]() Not my business BUT I'm just going to say it sounds fishy to me. Maybe it is completely on the up and up and it is nice of them to contact you to return him. Still sounds odd that they would request this of you knowing how distraught you must be! Good luck...I hope you get him back happy and healthy! ![]()

| ![]() Wonderful news that Teddy has been found and is safe!! I will be very happy to hear he is back in your arms. There are GPS devices for dogs, but they are so big and bulky that they are not practical to wear, especially for a small Yorkie.

YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() I am praying for a peaceful end to this situation. You are heartbroken and want your Teddy back now. Yes, they have issues but they can go get another rescue dog and give you your precious Yorkie back. I would definitely not be sleeping until my Yorkie was back. I would contact the police and get them on this case. Hope to read a wonderful happy ending real soon! |

| ![]() Everyone, please keep in mind we are talking about a very different environment somewhere in Asia. I can tell you that customs, courtesies and laws are very different there. There are many many many differences. I am sure OP is dealing with this the best way possible. Involvement of police etc., is an entirely different ball game in Asia, then it is here in the US. This is one of those situations where we need to support the OP and be here for her in that capacity.

| ![]() The phone call can be traced, land line or cell phone can be traced. I just cannot understand why these ppl just did not either bring Teddy to you, or have you come and pick him up. They see their dog is happy and playful having Teddy there, so there is no reason to keep Teddy until they can find another dog. I have found many a dog in my area, I knocked on door after door, after door until I found the owner. My last girl lost her sister and missed her very much, she missed all the playing, she liked all dogs, when dogs would end up by my house I did not bring them into my home or yard to play with my lil girl, even knowing how much enjoyment my lil girl would have had playing with another dog for an hour or 2. I leashed them up and headed out to find it's family. For someone to call you and say, we found your dog, but, I want to keep him for a few days, is selfish on their part. I hate to put more stress on you then you already have, I realize we come from different cultures, but the same applies no matter what, that is consideration, and concern about you loosing a beloved pet and how over joyed you must be to know he is well and alive, yet they want to hold on to him for a few days. If you have their phone number call them, tell them the baby is crying all the time for the dog, insist on you coming to get Teddy.

| ![]() [QUOTE=matese;4504053]I don't know about a GPS collar, if there was one our members would be very much aware of this, I would be the first one to get one. Dog and Pet GPS Tracker | Tagg the Pet Tracker Its called TAGG but I don't know if it would work in Asia. I dont have one but it looks interesting. I hope she gets her little Teddy home soon.

Perhaps if there is a dog rescue center in the area or a church, religious community, they could become involved and try to reach those holding your dog. We're just throwing out ideas and maybe it's worth a try at least. All they can say is no or offer no help and OP is no worse off than before. Offering ideas doesn't mean we're no less supportive or prayerful of our poor member who is no doubt frantic right now, wondering, worrying herself silly. stl, just because microchipping doesn't work where you are, would it be ineffective if the dog were taken to another part of the country a little away from where you are and scanned there? Couldn't you still be tracked through the chip registry via the internet in the event someone has your dog one day who scans it? Even if it's only a 1% chance of somehow getting your little one returned to your arms, many figure it's worth any extra help we can get. This is one of every dog-owner's nightmares - to find out someone has your very own furry soulmate but isn't immediately open to seeing the two of you re-unite for some inane, specious reasons! I pray those holding stl's sweet baby will be miserable until they return him ASAP and he's forever safe at home after that. Don't worry, stl, we're in this with you, only wanting you reunited with that sweetiepie of yours as soon as possible. Hugs to you. ![]()

| ![]() You would think those that have stl's little guy would know that no dog is entirely at ease or happy until he gets back home to his mommy, his own bed and bowl, and his familiar surroundings where he feels secure.
