| ![]() That happens sometimes, but after everything they put you through, I'd think they would have at least talked to you. "Personally", I'd probably be going the ivermectin route, but if you wanted to try something topical, they should be talking to you about it. Sounds like it's time for a new vet.

![]() Either way, Teddy had a hard time with Interceptor so it the Ivermectin shouldn't bother him (he did fine when he took Heartguard)

I'm sorry if I'm sounding petty about everything. I'm not upset about the money- I'm upset because I don't feel that my vet did everything he said he would (which was call the opthomologist to talk about Teddy).

| ![]() It is so obvious how much you love Teddy and how devoted you are to his care. I'm sorry you have had to go through all of this worrying, especially when it sounds like this diagnosis should have been caught earlier. I hope Teddy responds immediately to the ivermectin and that you can rest easier now. Teddy looks like he's such a doll, and he's lucky to have a mom who loves him so much. |

| ![]() Teddy just threw up immediately after eating a liver treat. I'm not sure if this has something to do with the medicine or what because Teddy gets liver treats all the time (the freeze dried kind) and he does just fine. He threw up his food along with the liver treats. He is not lethargic or anything like that.

| ![]() What kind of activity did he have before throwing up? Was he outside/hot?

| ![]() He's been indoors since 10:30AM. He was just lying around when I gave him the liver treat. I weaned Teddy off of his old food into a new one. I used to feed him Royal Canin adult and now I feed him Artemis for small breeds...maybe because this food has more protein in it he can't take the liver as much as before? Teddy also used to be very sensitive to heartworm medicine (he would be lethargic when I would give him heartguard) so maybe this is getting to him? I'm just confused. I want to take him to the vet but it would be to a new vet and I'm not sure what to say?

| ![]() Could be the change in food if it is a richer food, and could be the medication. Could be the treats. Is it Artemis Small Breed Fresh Mix? That has 25% protein, which is not concerning. Even if that is a big jump from the RC, I don't think that would be too rich. Poor boy. Hold the liver treats for awhile.

| ![]() Poor Teddy. Honestly, though, I would not stress too much over one incident. Sometimes they just have a passing tummy upset. Hopefully that is all this is.

| ![]() I'm sorry to be a pain. I took Teddy outside b/c he prefers to pee outside than indoors (he just learned to lift his leg so he likes to hold his pee for a tree outside even though he has a pee pad ![]() http://i51.tinypic.com/ab2ghx.png

| ![]() Don't ever apologize for being concerned. Grass eating sounds like something is up and that his tummy is bothering him. I have never seen gums turn that color. Is he acting okay otherwise?
