| Max is still limping He's in very good spirits and I'm trying to keep his activity level down, which has been quite low for about 5 days.I still don't know what body part is bothering. It looks like his front right paw or leg. I emailed my vet last night and said to give it a little more time. I can bring him in to see if she can isolate the injury and then do x-rays if necessary. He gets his 4th shot next Friday, Oct. 1st so i'm debating if I should wait that long. He wants to play so badly.

| I know you might not want to do this but it might tell you if he's hurting somewhere... Let him play. Let him run around and play with Cooper. If he plays hard and starts limping a lot, bring him over and poke around. You might find the spot that makes him hurt. He's a dog, he's really intune with his body, moreso that we humans are. When he hurts, he'll let you know. I had to do this with my Sheltie when he was young. It's just a suggestion.

| Have you considered arthritis? Tried giving him glucosamine and chondroitin?

| no i haven't for a second even considered that. Arthritis in a 4 month old puppy? I won't give him anything without further testing or conversation with my vet.

| If he's stiff... Arthritis is a possibility. There really is something called Juvinile Rheumatoid Arthritis and it is possible for dogs to get it. Stiffness and lethargy are two of the most common symptoms. (I'm talking to one of my nurses right now.)

It's the pitts! Since Mylee has been on restricted exercise, Moka just looks at her then looks at me. She wants to play so bad and doesn't understand why all the furniture is blocked off. I hope you get some answers on little Max soon!!!

| I'm hoping it's just a rough and tumble baby bruise I'm sure he will stop limping soon- I'm sorry you have had to go through this- I'm praying for him but have a feeling he will be better very soon |

![]() I just thought it would be sooner than a week. It frightens me that I started this thread exactly a week ago and he's still limping. My vet says she'll call me Saturday or Sunday if she doesn't see us by the end of this week.

| A week really isn't very long at all. I hope he heals - whatever is causing the limp.

Everything I've read says that it should clear in a few days. Of course I can't yet define "it". I'm debating bringing him in tomorrow for xrays. I don't know.
