What I'm curious about is how long it will take his leg (or hip or back) to heal? He started Metacam on Saturday. He's not limping all day, but if he gets excited and runs to the door or plays with Cooper for a couple of minutes he'll start limping again. The limp only lasts for a few minutes, then he's fine.

I'm trying as hard as I can to keep him rested.
I'm not sure about that medicine but if he did pull/sprain/strain something and it's not kept immobile, it will take a while for it to heal. (I've just sprained/strained/torn something in my ankle and it's been a week today and I'm still limping.)

I hope that medicine helps him out! You and Max need a break!
