| Buster does better with pills. I can hide the pill in a treat and he's good to go. He doesn't forget bad tasting liquid medicine. Maggie doesn't care, she is so laid back. I don't care what kind of heat I get, as long as I get heat! This has to be the coldest winter yet for SE Texas. Brrrrrr....and another front is on the way. Give me 100 degrees and 100% humidity.....and AC!

| When Dudley has to take a liquid , I would put the measured dose on a tablespoon, put a small amount of tuna fish in it, mix it around and he would lap it up and be looking for more *The amount of tuna was about the size of the tip of my finger...GOOD IDEA OR BAD???? I read post on here how some fur butts love cottage chez, could you drop the dose in that too??? I thought of the tuna because the smell is strong enough to stink up my house, so it's gotta cover any smell the med's would have???

| While commonly used for dental infections, it is also good for other wounds and absesses.

| Dental antibiotics My boy had his dental on Monday and the vet gave him an injection of Convenia 0-20 that is supposed to last two weeks. Expensive but great to have no oral meds to contend with. He has been fine so far, no side effects. I might add that there are reports of severe side effects and that has to be considered. This is the second time my dog had this so we were lucky. Don't know how a vet decides to give or not?? Just saying! Last edited by dottiesyrky; 06-05-2013 at 07:03 AM. |
