My boy had his dental on Monday and the vet gave him an injection of Convenia 0-20 that is supposed to last two weeks. Expensive but great to have no oral meds to contend with. He has been fine so far, no side effects.
I might add that there are reports of severe side effects and that has to be considered. This is the second time my dog had this so we were lucky. Don't know how a vet decides to give or not??
