| No, I called the vet you surrendered her to. I wanted to know if there was anything people could do to help you keep Ava. They told me the vet who cared for her would be in at 8pm and would call me. She did not.

| Unless you come up with the money to pay the bill, I think you are just torturing yourself. It is a sad situation. You did what was best for her so she can get the care she needs. At one time, I had to have a dog PTS because I could not afford surgery that they could not even guarentee the outcome. Be greatful that she is getting the care she needs. What are you going to do in the future if it happens again, or if something else happens. Siometimes we just need to let go and stop creating false hope. . |

| I tried to find out how much the bill is! I think that is the place to start. Maybe she cannot get it, but maybe she can. Clearly she is upset and should explore all avenues imo. Otherwise, she will regret it forever...not trying. No doubt the pup will probably be fine, but if she is still upset, I believe she needs to try.

| i am grateful that she's fine; however i don't want to give up so easily; at least i can say that i did my best at least if they kept me updated in the begining about her status; i won't be such a basket case; but no one is talking to me i figure what's the damage of sending few letters to the ceo of the er hospital and the ceo of banfield; you never know by the way this is the info for banfield; they should be responsible for the bill since they force fed her the night before; i would be greatfull if you can contact Karen.Johnson@Banfield.net and john.payne@banfield.net thanks much for all your support

| If you feel Banfield did something out of line, you need to contact the state division that licenses veterinarians.

I do plan to write a letter to the EC because I believe that the vet should have returned my call. She could have called and said "go blow"...but should have called imo.

| I will write an email and share my thoughts. Let's see what happens there. I will let you know when I write it I will probably do it later this evening or tomorrow morning. You deserve an answer as to how she is doing. Even if shes not yours it would be the right thing for them to let you know how she is doing. I know my vet and the office was much more respectable about my situation. |

Keep in mind, there are two places mentioned above. The email addresses are for Banfield and they did not keep Ava. Elly signed Ava over to the EC...there is a mailing address for them. I have just finished a letter to them. The way I see this: Nothing beats a failure but a try!

| Could you get one of those pet credit cards to pay off the bill? Then you can file a lawsuit against the vet that force fed her, causing her to get sick which would pay for the bill. Since that would probably take a while, the credit card could help in the meantime, and I think there is 0% interest. So sorry you're going through this |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I don't know who you are "ladyjane" but I can promise you one thing......if we were neighbors, we would be having coffee together. Nothing is impossible and what's a darn written letter anyway? I'll gladly write one. It is not fair what has happened to this Mommy. Her heart is broken and for crying out loud.......it's Christmas. I want her to get that pet credit card more than anything and I know in my heart she would pay it off but maybe she doesn't qualify for pet credit. YT'ers have rallied for other causes, why not this pitiful situation? She is not asking us to send her money, she just needs some dang recourse. Who amoung us hasn't felt helpless and hopeless at some time or another? How awful to know where your baby is and not be able to get to her. What would it cost to adopt her and then return her to this lady? I frankly don't care if that is "not fair" in some people's eyes. It's not fair that her baby was mistreated. Vet's aren't all stupid but this one made a mistake and look whose having to suffer for it. I wish I was an attorney and could step in and make justice happen. THIS IS JUST PLAIN WRONG! |
