| ![]() I feel sorry for this lady. I have been in this myself. I had a yorkie that was attacked by a pitbull. My local vet stabilized her and sent us to an animal emergency center in a neighboring state because her injuries were so severe. I was told the surgery would be approx., $4000 and I had to pay upfront. I applied and recieved a pet credit card and the vet examined my dog. She told me the surgery may or may not save her. I was emotionally a wreck and gave the go ahead for the surgery. My dog died exactly 4 minutes after she underwent anesthesia. I was billed $2,895 for the surgery! I am still paying for the bill even though I lost my beloved dog. I honestly felt like I had been robbed. My vet later told me that he seriously doubted that the dog could be saved but that he trusted the specialty vets and wanted to give Coco a chance. He was appalled that I was billed the amount I was. Honestly some vets are only in the job for the money. Pets are big business nowadays and very few vets care about the owners and the heartbreak that a sick animal brings to us humans. I hope that the OP can move on from this and hopefully one day be blessed with a healthy puppy to love. |

| ![]() I made sure to mention in my emails that I belong to a yorkie internet group that has thousands of members and it would be in Banfield's best interest to help get the dog back. I stated that a lot of money is spent on pet care.

However in this case, I can totally understand that they will not respond to her phone calls. There are privacy laws when it comes to these things and these people could get into trouble. They have given their answer. You just have to console yourself that you did what you thought was best at the time and that it is now out of your control. It's not easy, but many of us have been through it.

does. The best she could hope for from Banfield is to get her money back that she paid them when they force fed the dog.

| ![]() ok; karen from banfield client relation called to basically defend banfield and to say they did nothing wrong; and that i gave my dog up and that i am responsible for her. i tried telling that if it wasn't for the vet force feeding my dog she wouldnt be in the hospital; she said the vet didn't force feed the dog ; she "syringe fed her"; isn't that the same i said? i brought my dog in because she didnt' want to eat or drink; so she obviously force fed her anyhow she said they won't offer me anything; to get my dog back or any money back however they want me to take the posts off because she's offended by me disclosing their information; and that she's getting emails from people who don't know the real story; (i think i know the story since it happened to me) i think i know my rights; and this is called freedom of speech; i am not telling lies; just facts as they happened she can call it my opinion; but i know my dog for 2 years and that day she didnt want to eat or drink anyhow; i tried my hardest to fight for Ava with these people maybe if they or the EC get enough letters something can be done again i am deeply grateful for all your support and please spread the word to AVOID BANFIELD AT ALL COSTS

They can do nothing if what you are saying is a fact. Unbelievable that she does not think syringe feeding is force feeding. If the pup did not want to eat....why jam it down her throat? I have had many pups that were anorexic and never have I seen a vet syringe feed them. Clearly she had something wrong if she was not eating.

Ally I hope you get what you looking for.. hugs, Carmen in nj |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() There are thousands and thousands of people on YT. People who do NOT have a peach seed for a heart. I fired off another email. I told them that Banfield is no longer an option for animal care in my house. That company has bought themselves billions of dollars worth of BAD PR. This is not good, even in the best of times but during difficult times.....it's a trainwreck! Plus we have billions of friends who are as "canine crazy" as the YT'ers. This will have a ripple efect and that is not a threat......it's a lead pipe guarantee. Jack around with our Yorkies and your messing with your personal income. There are enough of us to make a point and that point will be felt. Hey Banfield!!!!!!! if your reading this.....do right by this woman. |

| ![]() i know; it's such a huge company and they act like they can't spare few thousands dollars to save a dog from being separated from its owner; due to their negligence. but i guess they can't afford it due to all the complaints they receive; i couldn't believe how many negative feedback there are out there; and they had the nerves to tell me to remove the posts about them. shame on them; how do they sleep at night! should i contact petsmart since they are affiliated with banfield?
